I just loved the name and it was full of delightful little things!
This was one of my favorite homes! I loved the tower! Who wouldn't want to have a tower, especially when this is your view...........
These homes face Lake Michigan.
I just love the portholes!
A grey charmer!
So pretty!
Please join Susan @ A Southern Day Dreamer for more Outdoor Wednesday Posts! I need to find some old sheets and go cover my plants! Have a Great Wednesday! Cindy
What a charming place, Cindy! I love the homes and the gardens and the stores....Christine
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI am not sure how I ended up here ( you know how confusing blog surfing can be!), but i really enjoyed the post and best of all the Chad and jeremy music. they were my absolute faves sometime back in the mid 60s!
I'm going to miss the flowers! It's to be cold here in Utah tonight too, with snow tomorrow! Summer went way to fast this year.
ReplyDeleteI love the gray home, what views! I would love to visit such shops, what a treat that would be. I love visiting all these wonderful women and seeing where they live...thanks for sharing...and the HI :D
Such pretty homes! But, I have to admit, the words "Lake Michigan" make me shiver! I am not a cold weather person and really dread this Winter.
ReplyDeleteI love the grey charmer. What a pretty place. My daughter use to live in Mich and was at that lake once.
ReplyDeleteI'll take one of each please! Gosh! they are all gorgeous ... great pics.
ReplyDeleteTerry needs prayers & support. Her hubby was in a bad accident today. Terrytreasures.blogspot.com
Have a lovely autumn week. TTFN ~ Marydon
Cindy how beautiful - I haven't been to Door County for 6 years now.
ReplyDeleteLove the homes. Thanks for sharing more beautiful Wisconsin pictures...my home state too!
Karen
Door County??? Isn't there a really neat Swedish restaurant somewhere around there? I was up there years ago. Loved it. They had goats on the roof top. A very different setting for a gal who makes her home in deep south Texas on the border with Mexico!

Ladybug Creek
I don't know, Cindy...some of these homes are just too small for me!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love the gray charmer. They even have a trash can in the driveway to look like normal folks!!
All kidding aside, I would love to go to Door County sometime. I just go nuts in those shops!! Did you come home with a lot of treasures??
We have gotten cold too. On Sunday I brought some plants indoors at the lake but not my hibiscus or Alan's palms and now I reget it. I hope I didn't kill poor Mrs. Hibiscus after doing in her cousin last year! lol!!
Stay warm, Cindy!!
xoxo

P.S. Hey~Why don't we pick a weekend to meet in Chicago for Christmas shopping. If we book rooms soon, we can get great deals. Let me know!!
I, too, found your blog and enjoyed the beautiful cottage photos. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteJoAnn
I, too, stumbled across your blog. I love your cottage photos!

Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous homes and quaint little shops! Did you have a chance to browse the shops? I just love the gray charmer! It reminds me of the beautiful homes in Cape Cod that I love sooooo much! Have a beautiful day my friend! Hugs, Loretta
I LOVE the homes you show in this post... my, oh, my... That style is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI actually have family in Wisconsin... Green Bay area. And my cousin and her husband has a summer house in Door County. Unfortunately I have not been there since I was 8 months old. We want to go, but it's such a long and expensive trip.
Since your husband is 100% Norwegian I guess you have been to Norway? If not, I do hope you get a chance to visit (during the summer months!)
Thanks for leaving such a sweet comment on my blog earlier. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Oh my... the homes and gardens are beautiful! Those people must LOVE living there.
ReplyDeleteOh my, one is lovelier than the next. I think the gray charmer is my favorite. Will you be buying it and hosting a giveaway? I'd like two or three chances at it, at least. ;)
ReplyDeleteWonderful homes and garden pics, Cindy. Again ya hit the ball out of the park. Again ya make me dread that first freeze where all my flower gardens turn that nasty brownish-black color.
ReplyDeleteThe Ozark Ponderosa was a cool 38 this morn. Freezing by the end of the week. SIGH!
You live in a beautiful area, enjoy your day!!!
What beautiful homes. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. I hope you are having a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pics. The homes are so lovely. I like the one you mentioned too.

ReplyDeleteCindy, these pictures of such beautiful homes is breathtaking...every one of them could be my dream home! I lived in Chicago for 7 years as a child, and I remember that we were very close to Lake Michigan...and I remember it was COLD in the winter...which I live in California!
ReplyDeleteHappy Autumn!

ReplyDeleteLove the travels and home show.
I love the one with port holes too!
If you get a chance please stop by and say hi!
TTFN~~Claudia ♥ ♥
Oh my, that house with the tower is just gorgeous. I wish I had a tower in my house :( It would just be perfect for enjoying those rainy falls while reading a book and looking at the lake. Oh it just looks magical. Thanks for sharing the photos.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Elli
Another lovely outdoor!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures.
Hello Cindy, your photos are so much fun. I adore looking at fabulous homes. If you live near Lake MI I know it gets cold there. I was born in Lapeer, MI. I was just there for a week to visit family. The weather was awesome. In fact I went to Mt. Bruce Station, a sheep farm and helped my aunt and uncle set up for a wool festival there. It is so beautiful with the farm house being circa 1920's. I hope you check it out.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy outdoor day.
Hugs...Jeanne
Hello Dearheart...
ReplyDeleteJust stopping in to say hello and see how you're doing! I got your sweet note that you left on my autumn tablescape...Girlfriend, you always brighten my day...you're such a sweetheart!!! You know, I really do cherish our friendship...you're the best, Cindy!!!

My favorite was your favorite too...can you even imagine living in a home like that...and to have that view overlooking the lake...gorgeous! I love the the little tower...so quaint!!! Looks like you got to do some shopping in some neat shoppes too! Thanks for sharing a little of your trip with us...the photos are fabulous!!!
Well Darlin'...what are you up to Friday? Do you and Dan have plans for the weekend? We were supposed to have the kids this weekend but Darrin had a date on Saturday...it's their homecoming! OMG...it's so hard for me to believe that he is going on a date...they are growing up much to fast! Ohh...I do have some exciting news...a lady in our little nearby town has asked me to come over and do a design consultation for her newly built home this Saturday...I'm sooo excited but sooo nervous at the same time! The only reason I agreed to do it is because I know her fairly well! Anyway, keep your fingers crossed for me...okay? Hehe! I'll talk with you later, Sweetie!!!
Love ya,
Chari
Beautiful homes!! Thanks so much for sharing them with us. Stop by when you can. Connie
ReplyDeleteI have covered my plants with sheets for two nights now here in Utah... I will miss the flowers but love practically everything about fall. Except that it preceeds the snow.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post and your pictures are so beautiful! Beautiful homes full of charm and I too loved the name of the cottage!
~♥
Hi, I came here from Karen 'Some days are Diamonds'. I'm so glad she showed me the way to your beautiful blog, love the apples !
ReplyDeleteCindy, what beautiful homes! They almost made me forget the cold weather is coming. Well get out the sweaters because it's coming! Traci
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, thanks for the great tour of these beautiful homes. I also loved the tour of Applestone Cottage especially the pic of a snowbound Applestone! Can't imagine what that's like coming from So Calif and Hawaii!

Oh wow, all of the homes are just gorgeous. What a pretty area. I am so glad that Linda T. is going to join us for the lunch. What is her blog address. I would like to get in touch with her. I always like to know who is in the area. You can email me at astrollthrulife@gmail.com. I really look forward to meeting you. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWhat fun houses, Cindy! Loved all of them and the shop, too!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you have such chilly weather. We have on the AC as I type. Will it ever be fall in Florida??? I thought we would have an early fall last month, but then it got hot again. We did have one cool night which was fun, but for the most part, it's AC as usual.
XO,
Sheila :-)
I don't think I've ever been to Door County, but I KNOW I WANT to go.
