After the warm weather I enjoyed in Arizona, I now have a desperate case of Spring Fever. Since I can only see a few spots of bare ground, I will have to settle for bringing spring indoors. Out with the pine cones and in with the blue, white and yellow! I recently found this Blue Room Spode plate at TJ Maxx for only $2! Hey, that's GW prices!
Some creamy white pitchers, a dollar tree bunny and another $2 plate from TJ Maxx. This one is Johnson Brothers.
A little yellow birdie in front of the birdie water color....
So there you have it. A little Spring added to my mantel.
.
. And although I love a nice, cozy fire. I am sooo ready for Spring and the start of new beginnings.
I am joining Susan for Met. Monday
Sally for Blue Monday.
And Marty for Table Top Tuesday.

It looks gorgeous. I just love it. Your plates, birds and ironstone are just so pretty on the mantel. It really does look like spring. It was cool and rained hard here all day today, so we are ready for it to go away too, just don't get too hot. Hope your day is a super one. Hugs, Marty

ReplyDeleteWe never made it to the lake, Alan had a million things to do but we got out shopping at Macys and Steinmart and I bought a few things so I am a happy blonde. ;-)
Door County sounds neat but very far. How long does it take you guys to get there? I am so excited about Summer. I want to go everywhere!!

ReplyDeleteT.J. Maxx is the absolute BEST place to buy china. This past December, I bought a complete tea set (saucers, cups, creamer, sugar bowl, tea pot) for $20. Such a bargain!

I love your mantel. I should redo mine too..perhaps do something about those ivy's? :)
Oh heck, who cares. I really do need a change though.

Okay, I have seen this so many times today...what is "GW"? Do I know this? Is it a chain store? (mostly outlawed in VT, and if they are here, they are one somewhere far far away)

Hi Girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteJust read your note and had to come right over to say hello and see what you've been up to! Cindy, you captured "Spring" perfectly in your new mantel decor! I love it!!! Ohhhh my...I love, love, LOVE your new Spode Blue Room plate...I'd love to have a whole set of those! Hmmm...I haven't seen those at our TJ Maxx yet! I'll be keeping my eyes out for them! It really is gorgeous...and I like the other pretty blue plate as well! I love all the beautiful blue and white with the splashes of sunny yellow...it doesn't get any Springier (hehe...is that a word?) than this!
Okay, Girlfriend...I need that pretty white frenchy pitcher...the one that's kind of rectangular shaped! Oooh...that is sooo pretty! Where did you find it? Anyway...great job, Darlin'! Girl, it's so cold and raining at my place today! We are supposed to get snow tomorrow...eeeks! It doesn't feel like Spring is anywhere close. Hehe! I'm working in my dining room today...trying to bring a little Spring inside at least! But I finally packed away all the pine boughs and pinecones...put the silver away! Trying to do something light and different!
Are you recouping from your trip? Not much going on here...it's quiet! Russell worked on his old Ford all weekend...trying to get it ready to take to Vegas. I'm getting so excited! Well Darlin'...I'll talk with you later! Thanks for coming by and for leaving such sweet compliments on my Birds of a Feather tablescape! You always make my day, Cindy!!!
Love ya,
Chari

Cindy, thanks for dropping by! :-)
ReplyDeleteI am in between travels, but I leave again tomorrow. Then I will be traveling again on Saturday. Then Sunday starts the big push to get everything in perfect order to have Claudie and her friends and our blogger friends come for a visit, lunch, etc. I will be MIA for over a week, no blogging at all. LOL! On top of that, I have a husband who has been battling kidney stones. And then there are lots of other things I won't get into now. Email me for details. LOL! ;-)
I'm just trying desperately to visit everyone when I can, and I feel terrible when I can't. But the first time in over three weeks, I plan to post tomorrow. Yea! :-)
Sending you hugs...
XO,
Sheila :-)

Good Morning Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful your mantel looks all Spring-A-Fied. I adore it. You do such beautiful work. The blue and yellow together are just so beautiful. I adore it. I need to check out our TJ Maxx store, to be honest I have NEVER been inside of one. I will add that to my list of musts for the week. You never know what you might find.
It was so lovely to see you again, and get to visit with you. I love it when you come and we get to have a get together. When is your next trip? I will be flying to Maryland to Mt. Airy in April for my birthday to see Blushing Rose. I can't wait to see some of that part of the country. We are having a tea with the ladies from that area, I think at last count we had about 20.
Have a beautiful day sweetie. Please know that you are so loved. Country hugs and much love, Sherry
Mornin' sweet friend...
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to come by to say hello and see what you're up to today! Got any special plans for the day?
It's really cold and raining at my place. The rain is supposed to turn to snow sometime today...yuk! I'm so ready for a seasonal change! Hehe! I need to go and light a fire in our wood stove...the heater is running! Hehe! Well Darlin'...I don't think I told you how much I just adore your beautiful watercolor that you have front and center on your beautiful Spring mantel! It's really beautiful and I love how you displayed that sweet little bird in front of it...so pretty! I love that yellow berry garland too! I need to find something like that!
Well Sweetie..have a terrific day! Just thinking about you and wanted to come by!
Love ya,
Chari
I love your spring mantel!
ReplyDeleteI need to get started on mine!
Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteYou really scored some great deals on the plates! They're beautiful. That little watercolor painting really speaks to me. Pairing blues and browns is probably my favorite color combination. Hope your weather improves soon. We finally have crocus and daffodils blooming here, but it's a gloomy, rainy day today.
Hope the rest of your week goes well...
Bill
Well look at you ... all springafied! Thanks for your very sweet visit to my Irish table today -- I've got to get my Spring on around here too -- I've got lots of catching up to do since my Dad's been recovering from surgery -- I finally think he's improving now -- so things are looking up! Hugs and blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteOh Cindy I love all the blue/white you have here...you know its one of my favorite color combo by far...hey girl I have that little bird I'm going to make a tassel out of it...Love seeing the fire as I'm so cold up here on this mountain top and we can't have real fireplaces here...I kid you not girl because of the ash and all the tress sighs...Hope all is well in your world my Dear friend...been busy tring to dust my pig pen today ha ha!! hey that takes me all day any more...next time I want more stuff I hope someone slaps me silly ha ha!! Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteI love the display on your mantel! You've done an excellent job of making things look "just right" without too much symmetry. I have problems doing that one, as I am so anal about lining things up!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Everything looks so pretty! I especially like your fireplace screen. I love your bird, picture, and the blue plate too. You did a great job ♥ You have inspired me to add a little spring here in my home. I hope you have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!!
