Christmas in July...a sparkly, easy to do centerpiece.

It may be cooking outside, 107 here yesterday with the heat index.   But inside its cool and frosty!
I am joining Debbie @  Confessions of a Plate Addict and other bloggers for their Christmas in July party.

This is an easy to do centerpiece with a big bang for your money.
Start with a framed mirror that will fit your shape and size of table.  Check Goodwill or other second hand stores for some great buys.  I found mine at GW and only payed $2 for it.

I used a craft brush and craft paint in a silver metallic color.  A few coats and your ready to go!

I gathered up some old jars and vases, all found around the house ( old pickle jars work great).

I cut some silver metallic material that I had in my fabric stash.  I used a fabric spray adhesive to attach. Doesn't need to be perfect to look good, just wrap and attach as best as possible.

Added some blue baubles found at discount store, 4/$1.

Add lots of silver, blue and sparkly ornaments or whatever color theme you desire.
Votive candles inside and out, light and enjoy!

All lit up for a festive holiday table!

Works during the daytime too.
Using my Blue hill Noritake china.
Snowflake glassware from the dollar tree.
Simple yet it makes a big impact.
It's a Christmas in July friends!
Today we are back into the heat zone after having a little reprieve from it yesterday.
I am not used to these hot, hot summers in Wisconsin.
We usually get a few really hot days into the 90s but this has gone on and on.

  1. I love it, Cindy...so pretty and festive! What a great idea to use a mirror! Blue and white just look cool and wintery! Is that show I see outside? Sigh! It has been so miserably hot here, too, but at least we are used to it! Thanks so much for joining us at Christmas in July!...hugs...Debbie

  8. It is gorgeous, Cindy- I love it. Great idea with the mirror! I must say that we hardly ever get into the 90's on this side of the state...being closer to the Lake. It has been a humdinger of a hot summer for sure- xo Diana

  14. Cindy, your Christms table is gorgeous - love the way you pulled the whole thing together. Our heat has been a little unbearable as well. We don't usually get relief until September! Linda

  19. Blue and silver are one of my favorite color combinations for Christmas and winter. It looks so cool and refreshing during the summer too! We are having a cooler than normal summer mostly. There are a few spells of 100+ degree days for a few days but we are back down to around 90 again (which is a cool summer for us). No complaints here!

  20. This is beautiful! I have alot of blue in my house so I may need to mimic this at Christmas! We actually had rain last night and it was just wonderful! We aren't getting much of that right now! Very hot here, too. Supposed to be low 90's late next week. Yay for low 90's! lol!!

I'm one of the hostess with Stone Gable so I just want to thank you for linking up! :)
