I used my Vera Bradley plates that I got so incredibly cheap. A dollar for the dinner plates and .70 cents for the salad plates. Vintage GW napkins. Regular flatware.
Vintage yellow gingham luncheon cloth. $2 thrift shopping.
I know, pretty bad pic. I was still kind of bent over in pain on Sunday while taking the pic. I even forgot salad forks but no one seemed to notice.
My table runner was only $3 at Kohl's last spring. It's a little long, so I just folded it in the middle a bit.
Another slightly out of whack pic. Thanks for coming by and thanks to Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch for hostessing Tablescape Thursday.
Cindy

Hi Girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteJust read your note and came right over! How are you doing today, my friend? I hope that with each passing day...you are feeling like your ol' self again!!!
Girlfriend, I just can't believe that you did a tablescape last Sunday...sooo soon! You certainly did a fabulous job with your pretty table and great photos...despite the fact that you were doubled over in pain! Sheeshh...if I had been there I would have fussed at you, Darlin'! Hehe! Anyway, I just love that pretty floral arrangement...love, love, LOVE those pretty pink tulips! They look absolutely gorgeous with the yellow daffodils! Hehe...I'm sure your mama didn't mind you picking a few! Or did she know??? Too cute!
You know that I just adore your Vera Bradley dishes...I love the blue and yellow paired together! I actually had a kitchen done in blue and yellow at one time...I loved it!!! I think that pretty yellow gingham tablecloth is just perfect for those pretty dishes...love it!!! That was soooo sweet of your MIL to bring dinner for ya'll! Well Sweetie, I haven't heard from Gloria since yesterday when she left me a note on my blog! I was just elated to hear from her! I'm sure it was an effort for her to be up and at the computer! I may give her a call tomorrow...I'm hoping that her Granddaughter Candice was able to find her a different Dr.!!!
It sure was sweet hearing from you, Darlin'!!! I'll talk to you later!!!
Love ya,
Chari
Hehe...it's just lil'ol' me again! Sheeshh...it's a good thing my head is attached to my body or I'd forget it! Hehe! I was going to tell you that I'm just thrilled that you're going to join in with the Sunday Favorites Birthday celebration this Sunday!!! Can't wait, Sweetie!!!

Very pretty...what a fun place to sit down and have a nice meal together! Live the flowers in the pitcher..they always look so pretty in a pitcher, why is that?! Come say hi :D
ReplyDeleteOh Cindy, it looks gorgeous. You are probably trying to do too much already. I love your dishes and the flowers are just stunning. So pretty. You table and chairs are lovely and this is such an inviting and spring type tablescape. Take care. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWe know you must be on painkillers so a picture here or there out of whack, oh well..:) Love the table with the fresh flowers. You find the best stuff at the best prices. I wish you lived closer. I'd would follow you store to store!
ReplyDeleteLove your table, Cindy. The dishes are SO cute as is the vase and I love the table runner. I always have to fold mine, too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon. Surgery is not fun, especially around muscles you never realize you use so much. Saying prayers for you.
xoxo

Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteLooks like we got a head start on TT! I love your thrifty table, the colors are so cheerful. I do hope you feel better soon!

ReplyDeleteNow Mz. Cindy, Darling Dear, are you doing too much? Don't over do it. Your table is gorgeous! I'm sure your MIL was so thrilled to see you had set such a wonderful setting. Those plates are precious! I've never seen anything like these and what a deal. Love your runner, napkins, the pitcher with the gorgeous flowers. You did so good and I hope you sat down and rested afterwards.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
You can't go wrong with blue and yellow, Cindy. I am glad you decided to do a tablescape and we got to see this pretty table. I can't believe you got those dishes so cheaply. So pretty! The tulips are gorgeous!....Christine
ReplyDeleteI would enjoy a meal or just a cup of coffee sitting there. Had I been in your place, I would have served dinner on paper plates and plastic wear! :-) Seems I do a lot of that these days.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling much better. Have a great weekend.
Beautiful as always! Hope you are feeling much better. You've been in my thoughts and prayers!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Donna

ReplyDeleteBeautiful table! I love the colors, Cindy. Great deal you got on the plates! I hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeletewhat a pretty table... I can just hear MIL now, as she calls all her friends to describe Cindy's pretty table to them. :o)
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI just read about your surgery, I'm so glad you're better! Well you must be if you're doing tablescapes already -- what a woman!! It's really pretty, love the Vera plates. Feel better!
Cheers, Andrea
The yellow gingham is just perfect with those great Vera Bradley dishes! And with fresh tulips and daffodils, your table is so spring-y! Love it!
ReplyDeleteCindy, I'm so sorry you've been sick! I hope you feel better each day.
ReplyDeleteLove your table. It is so pretty and what great prices!
I'm checking in quickly while I have a break (I had to get away from the workmen for the afternoon), and I wanted to drop by and say, Hi!
I will be back to blogging soon (I hope)!
Miss you...
XO,
Sheila :-)
What a wonderful table setting. Those daffodils and tulips just cheers up the table and goes so well with your linens.
ReplyDeleteI had a few thoughts as I read this, the first is that something happened to you and I missed it. I guess you haven't had the best month either. I had my gallbladder out a few years ago and I was so sick ahead of time...best thing I ever did. Second...Vera Bradley has plates? Love them...something else to look for:) I love tulips and daffodils. Lucky for me I got home in time to see mine in bloom.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the kind words about my mom. It really has been a difficult time, but also I will have some of my best memories from time I've had this month with my mom and dad. Really, I've been blessed...but, I'm still not ready to let my mom go.
Sue
Hi Cindy, what a bright blue color the dishes have. So lovely. You had a great idea to fold the runner! Your MIL has surely been impressed, didn't she?
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Johanna
New to your blog and enjoyed getting to know you -- and I was wondering what is a tablescapes?? Your table sitting is delightful!
ReplyDeletePretty spring table. The daffodils have all bloomed out here in TX as have the tulips. Love the two together. Thanks for sharing your spring table.

ReplyDeleteWarm blessings,
Spencer
Everything looks so beautiful Cindy! I just love fresh flowers. I hope you have a lovely day ♥
ReplyDeleteYour table is so pretty, Cindy.
ReplyDeleteOur Irises are blooming. I need to cut a couple to bring inside.
Catching up with my visits today, because it is raining in Missouri. No yard work being done...:-)
Mornin' sweet friend...
ReplyDeleteYep...I did say "mornin'"! Hehe! I think I was up last night about the same time as you were...so I slept in this morning! I was having crazy dreams and just decided to get up for awhile. Hope you got to sleep in as well...I really do hate being up in the middle of the night! Sheeeeshhh!!!
Cindy, thank you so much for all the well wishes for my Sunday Favorites...and I'm sooo happy that you took the button to display on your blog! I appreciate you helping me to get the word out, Darlin'! Ohhh...I would just love to have you participate this Sunday...I'm looking forward to it! I'm excited about doing the gift card giveaway...I'm going to offer a choice between 5 different gift cards!
What are your plans for the day, Darlin'? I have to go into town later to meet Russell to take care of some business...I'm sure we'll probably eat out in town. I always enjoy that! Hehe! We haven't heard from the kids...I thought maybe we would have them this weekend but I guess not! So we really don't have any plans for the weekend. It's been raining like crazy here...we have really needed the moisture! I know that everything will really be greening up now! Yeeeehawww!!! Well Sweetie, you and Dan have a fabulous weekend and I'll talk to you later!
Love ya,
Chari
PS...Gloria emailed me that she has an appt. to see a new Dr. this morning! I'm sooo hoping that they will do something for her! I hope that I'll hear from her later today.
