A Cardinal Christmas Table for Karen!

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, and since we've no place to go, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!   No one appreciates my snow more than my dear friend Karen, @ Some Days are Diamonds, so please visit her lovely blog, and check out her upcoming blog party!  This table is dedicated to you my dear!

I've been wanting to do a Cardinal Christmas Table for a long time but first I needed the snow and the time to make the table runner and napkins.

So while Hubby was out doing this..... No School ! ( He's a Teacher)

I made my napkins and table runner and ....

Cardinal plates and mugs!  Got to love them!

Snow, courtesy of Mother Nature!

I have always loved cardinals and their is nothing prettier than a red cardinal next to newly fallen snow!

Our total snow fall was about 15 inches!   Have a great Thursday and thanks to our hostess Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch.   Cindy

This is so pretty. Your home is so warm and welcoming. I love the centerpeice and you are so talented in my book for making the placemats and napkins, since I can't sew (yet!!!!). And I love those dishes. I have the same wine glasses! Aren't they perfect for winter?!

I see Dan is digging you out. Hopefully they are digging out our B & B for this weekend. I can't wait. We are going to have a blast! And maybe a snowball fight!! ;-)

  4. I had to show my 16yo daughter your table. She loves cardinals and always chooses one for her new Christmas tree ornament each year. She (and I) loved your table. She said that she thought that the two of you would definitely make good friends. Kindred spirits!

  8. Cindy,

Your tablescape is lovely and I am sure Karen will be pleased it is just for her!

The snow added a bright and clean accent to your Christmasey warmth inside. Loved it!
Parts of our suburb got 13 inches, so not quite as many as you!:) It is only 2 degrees here so I am sure our street is going to stay white for a while! I sure wish your hubby was herre to plow our walks and drive! ;D

  9. Cindy,

I just rearranged my kitchen cabinets and have the same pitcher.....think I'll do something similarl! It was time to get out the snowmen plates for the winter months. It's always such a chore, but once it's done, I really, really enjoy. I love dishes - just don't have enough cabinets to store them all!

    Happy holidays!!!

  14. I thought you might be doing a Cardinal table in honor of the Arizona Cardinals beating the Vikings!! HA! I'm sure that made Dan sooo happy that the Vikings lost... and the Packers WON.

Can't believe the blizzard you guys got back there! I talked to my family yesterday and they are staying put. And I heard on the national news that the UW- Madison canceled classes for the first time in over 2 decades! Wow. That must have been one bad snow storm!

Stay put Cindy... or drive carefully!
