Hi friends,
It's been cool here the past few days with our lows way down in the 20's.
With our extremely warm March this has been a real shock to my system.
I have also been worried about our plants (especially my lilacs) but I checked this morning and all seems well.
We are going to see a gradual warming over the next few days.. and hopefully ( crossing my fingers) we won't have to worry about frost anymore.
One recent little purchase, this cute little cow creamer that I found at Pier 1 for only $2.29 inspired me to set a country table for two!
I purchased the tablecloth about 3 years ago (it's part of the Country Living line) The white plates are from TJ Maxx 4 for $10.00, the rooster was a gift from my good friend Marty at A Stroll thru Life.
The juice pitcher and glasses belonged to my hubby's grandmother.
I just love the vintage cherry look!
The red and white plates are plastic and came from Wally World. The cute little rooster napkin rings were a gift from Kathleen @ Cuisine Kathleen.
The blue and white cups/saucers are from my collection of Myott Finlandia.
A thrifty country table for two!
This is probably about as fancy as I am going to get these days!
We got to play Easter Bunny this weekend and was that ever fun!
My daughter took 18 month old Addison to visit with the Easter Bunny. And as you can see, she was not about to get any closer to that big scary bunny!
How was your Easter spent, I would love to hear!
Cindy
I am joining Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish.
and Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday.
Oh Cindy, I love the tablescape. It is so pretty and I love the red/white/blue. Cute cow creamer, and the pitcher and glasses are wonderful. Addison looks a little afraid of that huge bunny and I don't blame her. Wow. Miss you, are you coming out again soon? Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty table, Cindy. I love it. I really love that old pitcher and glass set. My Mom had that many years ago...the 190's maybe? Love little Addison not wanting to get too close to the Easter bunny! It has been cold here, too, and extremely windy. Hope you are having a good week- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHi Girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteOhhh...sooo pretty, Cindy! Your cheery red, white and blue table just sings "country living" to me! It's perfect! Love your pretty place settings! Ohhh...the white plates are gorgeous! I think that pairing the pretty red and white floral plates with your blue and white Finlandia tea cup and saucer is sooo beautiful! Ohhh...and I just adore your little vintage cherry pitcher and glasses! Love, love, LOVE that set! I have been keeping my eye out for something similar. What a sweet keepsake...that it belonged to Dan's grandmother!
Well sweet friend, thanks for sharing your beautiful country table with us today! I really enjoyed it! Also thought Addi's Easter bunny photo was cute! Poor baby...can you imagine a bunny that big??? I would have been scared too! Hehe! Hope that all is well in your neck of the woods.
Love ya,
Chari
Your table looks wonderful. That is a cute picture of your granddaughter. I think we all have one like that with the little ones.
ReplyDeleteOur Daughter and the granddkids came over for Easter and we had a great time with them all.
My kids were always scared of the Easter bunny too Cindy. Poor baby. They adore fluffy bunnies, but not big ones that don't talk and want you to sit on their lap, lol.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your little cow. I have a green one like it with a wee little milking bucket. It has gold trim. It's old, but I love it.
Your table looks very springy.
It's been cool here too, but I SEE BUDS!!! hurray.
Happy Spring... I hope.
xoxooxoxo
Your table looks so cute, Cindy! Great deal on those white dishes and I saw the cow creamer at Pier 1 last week! Did you see the ones that looks like cartons of milk? That's what I got. The reds are so pretty and I love the hen Marty gave you. I never heard the scoop on your visit with the gals in AZ.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of Addison. Emily was totally freaked by the Easter Bunny. They can be scary up close!
The weather is crazy...I heard it's supposed to be in the 20's tonite. I love sleeping in cold weather. In spite of the cold, when the sun is shining in my windows I open the door to let that cool air in. I'm strange, I guess!
Yes, let's pick a date for Galena before someone ropes me into something else. Near the end of June? Let me talk to the Big A and get back to you!
XO,
Jane
Hi, Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little Country table for two, you set. I would have never known those red plates were plastic if you hadn't said so.
Yes - the picture with the Easter bunny is very familiar. :D Pretty table. You have done more than I have - dabbing into to many other things these days.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your evening.
Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI love your country table! I especially like the vintage pitcher and glasses! I had most of my family here for Easter. We had the traditional easter dinner and egg hunt. Addison is beautiful!
What a wonderfully charmin' country table. I love it!!! My Granny Walden had a set of little glasses and pitcher just like that one.
ReplyDeleteYep, I can see why your precious princess might shy away from the big old green footed 'Giant Easter Bunny'. Addison's soooo adorable! She must take after you :o)
May God richly bless your day sweetie!!! :o)
I love the little cow creamer!!! We are in n'east Wisconsin during the summer/fall months and I WISH SO BADLY THAT WE WERE THERE RIGHT NOW!!!! I know that the weather has been crazy, and I don't know what my hostas, tulips, etc., etc. are doing! It's driving me crazy! Enjoy the spring! We (in south Louisiana) have been having summer for quite a while! :(
ReplyDeleteYour table is wonderful Cindy and I love that photo of Addison and the bunny.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty red and white table. I love red, and now you've made me want to play with red dishes. I love the place settings, centerpiece, and especially the inspiration cow.
ReplyDeleteOf course, the whole thing pales in comparison to the cute picture. Both of my daughters were afraid of the Easter Bunny. Santa was OK, but a big bunny trying to talk to them? Oh, no way...
Love your table...It is so wonderful to have things from such great friends and family...I so love the vintage pitcher and glasses.....
ReplyDeleteWhat a truly beautiful table. Love the red and white. Cute pitcher.. so glad it was an inspiration! xo marlis
ReplyDeleteYour country table is so cheery! The milk jug looks great and what a great price from TJ Maxx. I do like the retro pitcher and glasses! And to think the milk cow creamer inspired it all!
ReplyDeletebeautiful table...cute Easter photo...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful farm inspired tablescape, Cindy. Love the picture of Addison clinging to her mom, lol....Christine
ReplyDeleteOh I really like the cherry pitcher and glasses. They would look great on my table that I have set right now. I like your tablecloth also. Hope you can stop by.
ReplyDeleteSuch a charming mélange of patterns. It might have been chilly outside, but you've created a warm and lovely design for the best of Spring. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteVery bright and cheery, love it! Great vintage pitcher and glasses.
ReplyDeleteI really like the cow creamer, Cindy! Brings me back in time to when a lot of restaurants served cream in them. Cute table and accessories!
ReplyDeleteLove this , Cindy, fancy enough for me! Cute pitcher, perfect for this table, and of course the chicken napkin rings are gorgeous, LOL. Good to see you enjoying them!
ReplyDeleteI have a pic of my gdau at that age looking terrified on the bunny's lap. Now when the 4 of them go, THEY terrorize the bunny! Strength in numbers! :)
Thanks for linking your pretty table to Let's Dish!
Love your table...it looks so inviting! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBlessings My Friend,
Cindy, you have some great accessories for this table..the little cow creamer, the pretty rooster, that wonderful old jar. But, I am in LOVE with your husband's family heirloom. That pitcher and glasses are vintage perfection! Your tablecloth is a beauty and perfect with those Wal Mart plates (can't believe they are plastic). laurie
ReplyDeleteOh, I forgot! I don't blame Addison one little bit. I think that bunny looks a little scary! Bless her heart. laurie
ReplyDeleteYour table is totally charming, Cindy! I love the juice pitcher & matching glasses -- so sweet.
ReplyDeleteWe spent the afternoon with our son, DIL & our 2 youngest grandchildren. The youngest little Miss Avery (14 mos.) didn't want anything to do with Mr. Easter Bunny, but the older little Miss Flynn (3 1/2) was most willing. Some of the older neighborhood kids did an egg hunt for the younger ones, & Miss Flynn was hands down the winner with the most eggs -- she's a competitive little stinker! It was so much fun getting to watch all the action. Sounds like you had a wonderful day, too.

Pretty table, Cindy. Fun to use all the animals as accents. I don't blame Addison. I think that big bunny might frighten me too. LOL ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteHow pretty Cindy! Love the setting especially those WallyWorld melemine plates...I have a couple too..couldn't pass em up for .75!
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, Your table is lovely! I really like red and white. Love the little cow pitcher and your grandmother's pitcher and juice glasses.
