Fluffing the Guest Room!

Hi All.
Have you ever felt like you were just running in place?  Lately I feel like a hamster on a wheel.
I keep going and going but I am getting nowhere.
So when I found this little plaque last weekend I thought it would be the perfect addition to my guest room.
A little motivation to get back in the groove.

I hung my new plaque here above my old red shelf.
I want to change everything to Christmas decor soon so I just left the shelf as is for now.
Like I said, I am just trying to find my groove.

Early last summer Fifi painted this pic of my front porch.  I finally got it framed.  I found the frame at Hobby Lobby for 50% off  and hubby matted it for me.
A sweet reminder of summer!

I hung it in here next to the bed.  I think it makes a cheerful addition.

My Mom gave me this old frame with red velvet inside. I think she had bought it at a garage sale years ago.  I decided to add this sweet doily that my MIL brought me after their trip to Switzerland.
I just tacked it on and now it has sentimental meaning to me as well.
I've been seeing a lot of wonderful stuff around bloggyland going up for the Holidays already.
It's getting me in the groove!
For the first time in 4 years my Son and DIL will be home during the Holidays.  They usually only can come during the summer so this year will be extra special.  And with a new grand-baby even more so.
Have a delightful and inspiring week my friends,
Cindy

  2. I think you are definitely in the groove, Cindy! And that painting that Fifi did is just so cute and looks perfect in your guest room. Can't believe your hubby did the matting. I'm convinced he can do anyhthing!

And I love the cute doily your MIL gave you and that you framed in that pretty frame your mom gave you. The shelf looks cute, too, and I can't wait to see how you tweak

it differently for Christmas, though I like it like that.

Such a cheery guestroom, Cindy! And you know I love the quilt and the pillows.

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

Dec. 5th and then I am good to go and enjoy the season!!But I am getting panicked. I am SOOO HAPPY your Son and DIl are coming home!!!Stacie just informed Disney decided NO DEC. 25. Helllloooo Cindy~ I just found you through Kim over at Savvy Southern Style and you are right in my back yard...er...guess that would be my sideyard! I read through some of your blogs and am signing up as your newest follower. We are getting ready to downsize too...from a large home to something smaller (mucho smaller). I do want to still live on the water though. Right now we live on the East side of Green Bay.

I think we probably have lots in common and I am looking forward to getting to know you better. My own daughter lives about 5 miles away so I see her 3 little girls just about everyday. MANY of my blogs are about them..espeically the youngest one that is a HOOT!

I can't wait to go back and read more of your posts. Diana

  33. You will have the best holiday ever...I'm so happy for you:) Mine will be odd, but we are getting used to strange holidays in our family. We have always been such a traditional family, but the past few years tradition has been thrown to the wind on almost all holidays. I just try to remember my mom's favorite phrase and "go with the flow"!

I love you new sign...we do need to laugh! A Fifi brightens any room...I know that I love mine!
