.
I recently made the autumn wreath and posted about it on Met. Monday. The red mums are sitting inside my vintage apple basket that I purchased for a $1 at an estate sale. The old fashioned crate was also purchase for a buck. My daughter bought me the scarecrow several years ago and you can't have autumn without indian corn!
My front door is really my whole front porch! We love having a front porch and next summer I have a whole lot of new projects in mind!
My daughter Katie, bought me this cute little sign for my birthday in August! I think it fits perfectly here!
If it's a dark dreary day like today we can just plug in some lights to make things a little more welcoming!
It helps to chase the gloom away!
While I was at it I thought I might as well spruce up the back entry.
A pumpkin topiary and the cute little mailbox that was also in the box from Cindy! It sit's so pretty on this old red bench!
I added my other homemade wreath to this door. And now, for one final view.........
OOPS!! How did this get in here??? Karen, this one's for you !! When you come back for Karen's blog party in December, you will probably see something like this! Time to go visit all the other Doors of Autumn! Cindy

It just looks so inviting at your house. Everything works so well together. I even caught myself thinking that the winter scene looks wonderful, but then I remembered that snow and cold go with it and I shook that feeling off quickly! It is always fun to see what you post.

ReplyDeleteYour entryways are so warm and inviting with those decorations. I'm so glad you enjoyed winning my give away. Everything looks fantabulous. Thanks for sharing!
Living it up at Lakewood,
Cindy

ReplyDeleteAnd your back door...wow! Love the red shutters and that little red bench is just the cutest!!
Beautiful home!
Your porch is so inviting!! All dressed for Fall. Great job. You are very creative.Stop by. I just opened Cottage Loft Boutique. Hugs, Connie
ReplyDeleteCindy~How wonderful to have so many autumn vignettes. I adore ALL the red. I think it enhances the fall colors. You've inspired me to paint my lil' bench red. I've been debating on what color to paint it for an upcoming Bazaar.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so charming on your porch.
That little deer looks so regal. I hear they love apples. I wished I was there to feed Bambi a red delicious treat.
Sweet wishes,
Sara
Looking at all of these pictures makes me kind of wish it was Winter again! Oh well, I can keep coming back to visit this beautiful blog on all the hot and humid days that are approaching "Down Under". Best wishes, NM.
ReplyDeletePS Thanks for visiting me at my blog and for your very kind words!:)
Your blog is lovely...I so enjoyed your images of your Fall Home. Your little lights are adorable! The last photo is amazing....could be a Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteBoth of your entryways are so warm and inviting and decorated so beautifully. To me there is nothing as welcoming as a red door! I love the stacked pumpkins. I haven't put any pumpkins out on my porch for fear of them freezing and then getting all mushy when they thaw. The weather here is unusually cold (Dec temps) and my mums and whatever flowers are left in my garden are not liking it at all! The last picture is just gorgeous. How do you keep your tree from toppling over in the winter winds? I would love to do a tree on my porch! Hugs, Loretta
Mornin' Girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteJust read your note...so happy to see you today! I'm glad that you were able to get your blog comments going...wonder what happened?
Well Darlin'...I just adore the beautiful autumn decor of your front and back entryways! Soooo very warm and welcoming and absolutely perfect for Applestone Cottage! I love both of your pretty red benches...they really make it nice for being about to decorate! I'm going to have to keep my eye out for one...or two! Hehe! I have a hard time getting Russell to do building projects...it's not his favorite thing! Now...if I could just borrow Dan for a couple of days...hehe!!! Anyway...love both of your new autumn wreaths too! Sure look pretty with the stone for a backdrop!!! One of my favorites about your front porch is the beautiful big apple basket full of those gorgeous red mums!!! That's soooo pretty and they're so perfect with the red accents of your home's exterior! Was wondering about your cute stacked pumpkins that you have displayed on the back porch...did you make those? I love how they look! I would really like to make one...I'm hoping to hit Hobby Lobby tomorrow....maybe they'll have their faux pumpkins marked down (crossin' my fingers)!
We have a really busy weekend ahead of us...we are having to go and pick up the kids...leaving early tomorrow morning! Darrin has a track meet so we're planning on making that...and then going on in to town to get Danielle! Then we have to take them back home on Sunday (their mother is out of town so we're having to make the trip both ways this week). That's 8 hrs. spent in the car this weekend...not really looking forward to that part!
Well Girlfriend...I'm so happy to finally be able to comment on your beautiful Welcoming Doors post...you just did a beautiful job decorating your entries!!! Have a great weekend, Darlin'!
Love ya,
Chari
