ReplyDeleteOH, this is marvelous! Your hubby is to be patted on the back for teaching these guys such wonderful skills to take on into life with them. The house is beautiful and I love the tile work in the shower!

ReplyDeletehow wonderful! great for the kids too! I hope they continue to give back to the community!
ReplyDeleteSusan
What a nice job they did. What happens to te finished house? Do they sell it?
ReplyDeleteHow fantastic. We have a BOCES Center in my town that does the same thing each year. The various classes build a home that is later put up for sale. Those young students are amazing. Your husband must be an awesome teacher and you must be so proud. My husband is a builder so I know first hand what every step is in the construction of a home and what hard work it is. It is no small task.
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy...Your husband is a master at teaching...just look at the beautiful results! Some of these students have a ready to use skill when they graduate...that is commendable! ;-) Bo
ReplyDeleteMorning girl....this is just amazing! Imagine all the skills and learning these students will carry with them thru life...and what a great way to help the community!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming by Cindy...those cherry glasses I got at Wal-Mart about 8 years ago & the cherry bowls and plates I got at the Cracker Barrel about 10 years ago....they have always been some of my favorite pieces...hope you have a beautiful week.
Wow! This was wonderful to read and view.
ReplyDeleteWow, this looks amazing. What a great program!

ReplyDeleteWhat an inspiration post ... my favorite photo is the group on the roof! I'm not certain where I will hang the candle chandy. It needed re-doing from hanging out in the elements. Maybe I'll give it a nice inside home for a while.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift.
ReplyDelete~Beautiful MM Post! :)
Cindy,
ReplyDeleteThat is so wonderful! It's like Extreme Home Makeover with high school kids. I know y'all must be so proud of them, because I sure am. It's so inspiring to see kids do such great things to help others. Be sure to tell hubby "Well done!" for me. Linda

ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! I've never heard of such a thing. What a wonderful thing for your hubby to do.
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy....what a wonderful post this is..you must be so proud of your husband teaching these young students a true skill...very very impressive. Why don't all schools have a program like this..it would keep alot of kids out of trouble and benefit someone in need....Bravo to the husband!!
ReplyDeleteCindy, you have every reason to be proud of your husband. This is incredible! These students are learning so much (life lessons as well as carpentry), and what pride they must feel when the house is finished. Great post. laurie
ReplyDeleteI wish that they would do this at Jacob's school, I know that he would totally enjoy this. What a wonderful project. It's amazing what those kids can do! Congrats to your husband for a job well done! ~ Robyn
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they did a wonderful job! I live in a home built by first year carpentry class students from a local community college and two years ago, we bought one from a local high school (they build it on pillars in the parking lot) and moved it to a lot and finished it off for resale. So I know first hand that students do a great job and that it is an economical way to buy a home.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful met monday post!!! This is fabulous!! It's so nice to see that some of the trades in the world are still being taught!!! Thanks for sharing this!!! French;)
ReplyDeleteThe students are learning things they will used the rest of their lives...and :) remember your husband each time they used their skills.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!!!
