Sleigh bells ring are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird,
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song.
As we go along,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow we can build a snowman,
Then pretend that he is Parson Brown.
He'll say: Are you married?
We'll say: No man,
But you can do the job
When you're in town.
Later on, we'll conspire,
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid,
The plans that we've made,
Walking in a winter wonderland.
When it snows, ain't it thrilling,
Though your nose gets a chilling
We'll frolic and play, the Eskimo way.
Walking in a winter wonderland.
My Grand-daughter Addison and I saw the buck on our way home the other day.
He wasn't the least bit afraid and just stood there while we talked to him and I took his picture.
The rest are my pictures from that day and previous posts.
Today... we are off to slay the cut your own Christmas tree.
However it's bitter cold now and we may have to grab one they have already cut down.
We'll see. On Tuesday when it was snowing the temps were in the mid-30's and quite tolerable.
With the wind chill our high today will be minus 3. a bit nippy I would say.
Stay safe and warm everyone and Happy Week-end.
Cindy

ReplyDeleteThanks Helen!
DeleteI got the chills just looking at the snow pics, especially the one of the deer and the snow falling - great shot. I remember some, don't I didn't, but enjoyed them all. It is 28 and wind chill of 17 now and I am not going outside. I am ready for 70's and flowers again.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Oh my word Cindy, this is gorgeous. I love all your pics and they are so perfect for the song. She is getting so big and looks like she loves the snow and I love her snowman. Wish you were here, it is a little warmer. Hugs, Marty

Beautiful photos. Looks like you got quite a bit of snow and did a wonderful job of capturing the beauty of it.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Just gorgeous! Especially Little Addison!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed all your photos to go along with a favorite song. You are enjoying a lot more snow than we have across the state. That's OK with me - I can wait until Christmas eve for snow.
ReplyDeleteOh, your photos are so beautiful, just like Christmas cards! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, thanks for sharing...it was a treat!
ReplyDeleteCindy, this is the Rey definition of that song and stunningly beautiful! You had me at the buck, but each shot was great!

This is the VERY... I hate this IPAD as it Re-spells things.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous. Your home looks so beautiful for Christmas. That little one is growing so much and she is sooo cute.
ReplyDeleteWow, such beautiful photos...love them!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos! Love the first one especially. Your tablescape is pretty and so is the snow.
ReplyDeleteI love this post, Cindy! What a wonderful photo capture of the buck! The deer around here are pretty tame, but we rarely see the bucks and I don't know if they would stand still for a photo op. :-D The picture of your fireplace looks just like a Christmas card, and your tablescape looks so festive and cozy. I really love all the snow pictures. We live in North Carolina, and I don't think we got a bit of snow last year in our part of the state, though some areas did. We're hoping to see a little more this year.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Seasonal Sundays.

Cindy, this is a fabulous post! Such beautiful photos and they illustrate the song perfectly! That is an award-winning picture of that buck. And how did you make it snow in that picture? Addison is the perfect subject for photos - so cute, and her personality shines in the photos. Your table looks so festive. laurie
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, I just love that song and your photos tell the story so well! They are gorgeous and Addison and her little snow lady are both adorable!!! I hope you are able to get your tree. We are getting that frigid weather tomorrow! Stay warm with some yummy hot chocolate. Linda
ReplyDeleteI got so much pleasure looking at your photos, and your little Grand is a doll. We missed out on the snow, too far South for this particular wave of weather, but we got soaked for over a week with rain.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful post! Your photos with the song captions are outstanding. You've captured a very special moment in time! Happy Holidays!! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
ReplyDeleteHello - this is my first visit. I popped over here from BNOTP and enjoyed the photos of your day with your granddaughter! My hubby is from MN and our niece is in Duluth where they got a lot of snow, too. I am wondering where you found the snowflake stemware? Googling it now . . .
ReplyDeleteFabulous photography! The song is a favorite at Christmas time! Your red cardinal china is perfect for this posting with the song. The best part is the daring grandbaby and yall talking to the deer!
ReplyDeletePam
