Blue Hill is by Noritake and I've had it like a billion years. I have used lace table cloth fabric. You can purchase table cloth fabric at most fabric stores and all the ends are finished except where they cut. I think this was about 12.00 for 2 yards.
I used a piece of blue pottery that I have owned for years as my centerpiece, along with freshly picked apple blossoms.
The napkins are from GW and were new. I tied some scrap silver fabric for my napkin holder's and used my recently found 1847 Rogers Bros. flatware. If you remember I got the whole 51 piece set for $5.00 at a garage sale. It was a fabulous deal!
Sooooo pretty. I do so love the soft blue and the lace. What a fabulous suggestion to buy lace yardage. I will have to check that out. Lace tableclothes are so expensive. Your china is stunning. I can see why you still love it. Beautifully done Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteCindy your table is wonderful! Thanks so much for the tip about tablecloth fabric! I've used regular cotton fabric, 45 inches wide for picnic cloths, but I had no idea I could actually buy tablecloth fabric. You can bet I will be looking for it, next chance I get!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Cindy!!! I love the centerpiece -- that blue jug is beautiful, especially filled with apple blossoms! And the flatware and dishes are really pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty china-
ReplyDeleteA lovely tablescape!
Laura

Oh Cindy, if you're coming out in October, be sure and let me know. I would love to meet you and for sure we would go to my favorite GW's. That would be such a treat. When you know you're going to be here let me know and I will give you my email and my phone number and we can make arrangements to have a fun day if you can. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy! There is just something about blue and silver, it looks very festive and I love it! And the lace makes the table look very elegant. I love the pottery holding the flowers and what lovely blossoms! I bet they smell good too!.....Christine
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy! Oh, I love your table! Your china is beautiful! Love the lace!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
I LOVE IT! ALL OF IT! I think I like this one the best out of all of your tablescapes. Love the lace cloth, and I love blue!! And I really like the way you placed the napkins and love the blue jars!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great when we still love our dishes evena fter all of these years? I don't thinkI will ever tire of my "everyday" dishes. I've had them for . . . WOW 25 years now! OK, I suddenly feel old.
Now let me guess, you can look out the window at either the apple orchard or the view from your front door?
Did you book my flight yet? :)
HUGS! Karen
Cindy, this is beautiful! That china is really pretty - so delicate and soft. I love the color of the pottery pitcher you have your apple blossoms in. I also love those pretty glasses you're using. I've bought lace to use as a tablecloth before, and you are so right. It works out great! The little candle holder with the lamp shade is such a pretty addition to your table. I love all of it. laurie
ReplyDeleteYour china is so pretty and I love your stand on a chair view! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. That was such a great deal on the flatware! I love your china. The white and blue is so serene and fresh. Love it.
ReplyDeleteCindy, Very pretty! Great idea about the yardage! I do love your china - I don't think I would tire of that pattern either. ~ Robyn
ReplyDeleteI love this table, Cindy! It's so sweet with those apple blossoms and you know how I love Noritake! ;-)
ReplyDeleteCindy, this is a lovely table! I can't believe you got that flatware for that price! AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteI feel that way about my china, too. I never tire of it. Still in love with it after all of these years, but I love to add to it, too! LOL!
Another beautiful day at your blog. Thanks!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Cindy your tablescape is so soft and pretty. The china is gorgeous. You didn't mention the glassware but it looks like it matches perfectly! I didn't know that tablecloth fabric was different than regular fabric. I have an 8 ft. kitchen table and sometimes it's difficult to find tablecloths I like long enough so I wind up buying 2 and overlapping them. The apple blossoms were the perfect touch! Hugs, Loretta
ReplyDeleteThe blue and white is so elegant. Love the softness of it.
ReplyDeleteOhh I like this setting..so serene and comforting looking.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty soft blue table. I really like the pottery centerpiece. What a great idea to use apple blossoms.
ReplyDeleteYour table is so pretty and very spring like. Blue and white are always my favorite. I scolled through to your last post and your yard is so beautiful. I love lilacs!

ReplyDeleteHi Cindy
ReplyDeleteYour tablescape is so very pretty. I love what you've done. Your dishes are lovely and the little blue accents to complement really do that. I'll have to look for some of that fabric also.
have a lovely day
come by and visit when you have some time
Judi
Your table setting is just exquisite with the soft colors and elegant tablecover, dishes, and accessories..
ReplyDeleteCindy, Loverly! so beautifully put together. I am regretting the loss of a blue pitcher I sold for $1 - trying to get some things out (to make room for things coming in!). Linda
ReplyDeleteIt is so pretty! Love the blue...it's my favorite!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue and white scheme ... so soft and pretty. Great idea to use the tablecloth fabric; time for a trip to the fabric store for me. I can't find my lace tablecloths since we moved! I think they moved someplace else!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you stand on a chair to get a shot of the table... brilliant. I don't do that; not good with any heights. If I did that I'd end up with a picture of the ceiling because I'd fall off the darn chair and land on my back!
Cass
Cindy, your tablescape is lovely..your china is wonderful and the apple blossoms are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteBarb
I love your china. Pat sent me a set when he was stationed in Viet Nam and after all these years I love it! Mine is Nortaki. I hope that is now you spell it. That little blue candle lamp goes perfectly and gives it a cozy feel. Nice job!

Hey Girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteI'm just coming from your Outdoor Weds. post...so sorry that I missed it...I'm so behind with my blogging! Ohhh...your yard and home is absolutely breathtaking!!! I left you a note on that post, Darlin'!
Girlfriend, I think that this "Apple Blossom" tablescape may be my favorite that you've done to date!!! It's all soooo beautiful...from that pretty blue pitcher of apple blossoms to the place settings!!! This is the first time that I've seen the Blue Hill china from Noritake...the colors and pattern are soooo very pretty...so soft and romantic!!! I love the pretty blue napkins with the china and the pretty silvery fabric that you used around the napkins is simply gorgeous!!! What a beautiful adddition to the place setting!!!
Of course, I had to enlarge all of your photos to drink in every little detail...hehe! Those blue glasses are beautiful...I love the pretty ornate design around the tops of them...it makes them have an antique feel...I love that!!! Where did you find those? They are so perfect with your china!!! Ohhh yes...I remember when you got that pretty daffodil flatware...I'm sure you're still doin' the Happy Dance over that bargain or should I say steal? Hehe!!! I can't believe that you got those for just $5!!!
I also love that little silver tea lamp of your daughters...it's perfect with your pretty blue, white, and silver tablescape!!! Girl, this table is just so pretty, so soft, and very romantic!!! Fabulous job!!! Thank you so much for sharing it with us...
So glad that you stopped by to check out my shell candles...I always, always love when you visit!!!

Chari

What a great deal you received on the flatware! The apple blossoms are just lovely.
ReplyDeleteCindy your tablescape is just lovely. The china is still beautiful. The flatware, I am so jealous of. Fabulous & such a deal!!! I love your glasses. I love everything about your tablescape. And thanks for visiting my blog & leaving me a comment on my lampapalooza post. I too love my outdoor lamp. Hubby fished it out of a dumpster at work. His old boss brought tons of them back from Scotland & England & threw the broken ones in the dumpster. Hubby fished out 3 & welded them back together & refinished them. We still have 2 but the 2nd one we haven't put up.
ReplyDeleteHello there! Playing catch up this morning .... your view from the front porch of your home is spectacular!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCindy, I love the idea of bring apple blossoms into the house. Your tablescape is just beautiful. I love the romance of the lace tablecloth. And pretty blue china. I see your drapes in the background. I love them.
