Welcome to Outdoor Wednesday with our hostess Susan. Be sure to check out some amazing pics when your finished here. These are probably not that amazing, but maybe kind of pretty. A word to the wise, don't post when your very tired! My previous post's title makes it sound like I have a new hubby. Actually, I have a new table built by the same talented hubby. So please excuse my slip. I love spring! I think when you live in a cold climate spring is even more sweet. This past week was a wonderful one here at our little abode. Things were just a blooming like crazy...
The ivy is even creeping around my front porch. ( click on any pic, to enlarge)
It's filling out nicely over here.
Fat little
duckie found a spot amongst my little perennial garden.
The
hostas are bursting.
The bleeding heart's are a blooming, please ignore the weeds, I sure have been.
Lol.
Lilac's were in full bloom.
In all shades of purple.
Lilacs are some of my faves!
The apple trees were flowering.
And everything is green, green, green. This is the view from my front porch.
And a lovely flowering crab. Thanks for stopping at our little cottage, I always love to hear from all of you. Cindy
Oh, how pretty, Cindy! This is just lovely as can be! I love all of your pretty blooming plants as well as your hostas and ivy, they are lovely!
ReplyDeleteHappy Outdoor Wednesday!

Sheila... who loved seeing your little white duck! :-)
Lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. Such gorgeous flowers, and the Lilac is simply stunning. I would love to have such a wonderful view out of my front door, but alas, all I see is another house. Love your beautiful home. Hugs, Marty

Happy Outdoor Wednesday Cindy! Spring has sprung in your yard...and all the blooms are gorgeous! You have a beautiful yard! Thanks for sharing your photos.~ Susan
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures and a beautiful garden.
ReplyDeleteCindy, it is all so lovely! I could just sit and stay a spell!
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely stretch of land you have. Those lilacs are calling my name. Beautiful shots Cindy. Enjoy...
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful home and view. So much in bloom and everything is so green! Thanks for sharing your pics.
ReplyDeleteCindy...you yard is just gorgeous and all your plants look so healthy. It all looks like something out of a gardening book I have here. It really is magazine worthy! I just love it and I wish mine looked like that! My poor little yard is struggling..I dread the hot weather because I know it will only get worse and they are threatening to fine us if we go over a certain amount of water. It's sad...
ReplyDeleteThat's ok. I'll just come here and look at yours! :)
What a beautiful view, and I envy your lilacs. It looks like spring is coming along wonderfully... and know what you mean about living in a chillier climate and spring being that much sweeter. Its so true.We lived from over 20 years at 4400 ft elevation. Where we live now, the temps fluctuate throughout the year by no more than 30 degrees... pretty moderate... which explains why lilacs and peonies don't like it here much. I miss them. Your garden is beautiful. Looking forward to see it as it grows throughout the spring and summer. (:
ReplyDeleteWhat a great view...I love lilacs too..can't wait till your apples come in..I'll make pies with you..:)
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI am simply green with envy(no pun intended LOL). For one thing the view from your front porch, i love mountains and rolling hills. And your lilacs are beautiful, I can just smell them now!!. I enjoyed clicking on your photos and seeing all of your plants. I thought the ivy was so pretty and I have not seen any like that very unusual, I am still looking for the weeds! LOLThank your for sharing.
Sue

Dear Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a very beautiful post. The hosta are just beautiful...I love the color of them...my hostas are green and white varigated leaves and they produce a beautiful purple bloom...I don't know the name of them.
I LOVE THE GREEN IVY ON YOUR COTTAGE.
happy outdoor wednesday

Oh my! What a wonderful place you have. Everything is so pretty! The duck is so cute!! I LOVE your lilacs!!
ReplyDeleteOh Cindy you are too funny. I had to go back and check out the last post title! Everything growing around your home looks wonderful. Your lilacs are beautiful. Mine are small and will probably not make flowers for years! So for now I will enjoy yours. Do you stake your Cosmos? Mine always grow so large and heavy that they just fall to the ground if I don't tie them to my fence. I have to ask what that pretty little plant in front of the fat duckie is. It's the bluish green plant. It's so perfect it looks fake! Some of my hostas were confused this year. The flower stalk came up with only a few leaves! Everything is ready to burst into bloom here too. Hope you have a great day! Hugs, Loretta
ReplyDeleteYour garden is bursting and so pretty! Happy OW!
ReplyDeleteOh look at the Ivy still continuing to climb. And the duckie sure is cute. Love how round she is LoL
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are beautiful. As always, I'm still amazed by the bleeding hearts. And the crab tree on the last photo is a new one for me. love the pink blossoms it gives.
Happy outdoor Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Your lilacs are really lovely -- mine are all done blooming, so sad!
Your property is so stunning ... lucky lady to have so much gorgeous nature to enjoy!
and I'm glad I could serve as the "horrible example" for you, to show your hubby that there is someone with even a worse case of dish-a-holic than you! (Can't he make more storage? Seems that would give the dear man something to do in his free time!)
Best wishes... Cass
