Welcome Everyone! Today I am joining Rhondi at Rose Colored Glasses for a first day of summer Porch Party. My porch is small but I think it is colorful and cozy.
My hubby and I use it all the time and especially now when we are having such gorgeous summer days!
Last summer, I painted this old bench red and use it for displaying some flower pots and my lantern.
I recently found this old wicker plant stand at a garage sale and spray painted it apple green~ I really like this shade and their is some of that same green in my rug.
My Mom bought us these wind chimes for Christmas one year. They are a very nice set that are acoustically wonderful. Out in the country, no one cares if your wind chimes are dancing in the wind
.
Over here I have a tea-cup filled with petunias. I bought the little chair when we were in Galena, Illinois.
Front door, painted apple red.
Sorry for the shadows.
Front porch view.
Vintage luncheon cloth I found for $3.
I love the embroidered flowers on this vintage cloth.
Table set for two with Myott Finlandia.
All of the dishes were found at garage sales or E-Bay.
We have a pair of old wicker chairs .
Hubby's going to fix these up a little more this summer.
Flowers, fountain, tea-pot and basket for a little vignette.
I served my in-laws lunch today out here. It was fun!
Lily patiently waiting for us.
After lunch, we can sit under the tree and watch the deer.
However, if they start eating my flowers their in big trouble!
LOL!
Thanks for coming by today.
Cindy
I am also joining Sally @ Smiling Sally for Blue Monday.
And Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch for Met. Monday.
And Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life for Tabletop Tuesday.
And the Tablescaper for Summer Sundays!
What a fabulous view from your porch. Everything looks so inviting. I can't imagine how you keep that porch rug so clean!
ReplyDeleteI love your cheerful porch. You know your tablecloth? I saw a vintage one similar to yours on Ebay this week and last I saw it had gotten up to 33 dollars and the bidding still had not ended!! I would say you got a great buy!

Cindy, what a charming inviting spot. I can why you enjoy spending your summer time on this porch. Love the red door and the red table and chairs. Everything is so cheerful! Thanks for having us. ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteCindy, I've always loved your porch and each time I see a new addition to it, I love that too. Your little red table and chairs are so inviting, and I love the way you've picked up all of the colors in that pretty rug. The vignette on your red bench is perfection, and that chair is perfect for your giant tea cup. Are the little watering cans across the window lights? They are so cute. The color you painted that plant stand is great with the rug and the rest of your treasures on your porch. Of course, with a view like you have, I'm not sure it matters much what is on the porch!! laurie
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming porch... looks right out of Country Living! ♥
ReplyDeleteWith a view like that from the front porch, I bet you have a hard time leaving. Absolutely enchanting. I love the stonework on your house first of all, and then all the red just makes everything pop. Thanks for sharing. This is my first time visiting Porch Party.
ReplyDeleteHI Cindy! Oh how I love that apple red front door. And all your red! That gets to me! I love the table and your dishes, the shutters. The whole picture, the whole patio and yard is just beautiful and I loved the tour! You never to cease to amaze me with your beautiful photos. I love to come by for a visit.

Hello Cindy, this is my first visit to your Blog and I have really enjoyed it! I found you through Rhondi's Porch Party and I liked the name of your Blog so I stopped by for a visit. I LOVE your porch..you call it small..no no..ours is small but yours is just a nice size and I love the way you have it decorated. I also wanted to tell you that I love the setting for your home...very pretty and private and I love that. We live in the country on 5 acres with farmland all around us (no neighbors and I LOVE IT) in a little farm cottage. We're fixing the place up a little at a time and hubby says he's putting a screened porch on later this summer..well can you see my grin?! Loved my look around your blog and I'll be back. Take care. Maura :)
ReplyDeleteOMG! I love it all! Your red door is so darn cute! The view, your style...Fabulous! Thanks for sharing, Marcia
ReplyDeleteHi, Cindy... just ogling your porch again! Love your blues, but I am really wild over those red iron pieces. Don't tell Sally! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday...
XO,

Hello Cindy!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by. I have been so busy that I have neglected my poor blog... I do miss all the fun parties though! This porch party is one I would have liked to have joined in on! As for your porch...it's so welcoming! I just love all the reds! My favorite color in decor. Your wicker chairs with those red and white striped cushions look wonderful. That cafe table and chairs in red really pop! It looks really good against that carpet you have it on. I recently spray painted a similar cafe set in a pretty green for my daughter's new townhome she purchased. We wrestled with the idea of using red or green. I was leaning towards the red... she finally decided on the green. Came out nice. I hope to post in a future Met Monday. Well... ta ta for now!
Hugs!
What a wonderful warm and inviting porch. I love all of the color!!!!! And your view is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming and joining "Summer Sundays". Hope you'll come join us again next Sunday.

How welcoming. I just love the view from your porch.
ReplyDeleteI just love those red chairs! Your porch is so pretty and your in-laws are so lucky to be your guests for lunch. I love the "view from the porch".
ReplyDeleteCindy, I am just lovin all your touches of red! What a happy and welcoming colour! I pray your brother's home will be safe. God bless them and all those afflicted by these terrible fires!

The porch looks so sweet! I love the red...the bench is charming, and the string of lights to go with everything! The view is wonderful...but not the deer! They are my enemies! Do you have Lyme disease there from the deer ticks? Nearly killed me one year!
ReplyDeleteCindy, this is a great post! I love your porch, too! And what a beautiful part of the country you live in. The Finlandia pattern has always been a favorite, and it is perfect with the table cloth.
