I'm joining my good friend Karen, from Some Days are Diamonds for the first ever Sorority Rush Party.
I've had the pleasure of meeting Karen in real life and she is just the neatest lady. So when your finished here, go visit her blog and check out the other links.
I am not a real paper crafty person but I did manage to make a little hangy thing. And that's what it will be called, the little hangy Sisterhood thing.
This picture of me is from another blog party that I was recently part of it. Sheila, from Note Songs, who also has a Sorority Rush post had us take pictures of ourselves looking into a mirror. I live way up North, in the State of Wisconsin and I am anxious to meet my other blog sorority sisters.
And today, I was lucky enough to meet one of my sorority blogger sisters! Keetha, whose blog is called
The Eclectic Company and her sister Pam came to visit. Keetha has long been a blogger buddy of mine. She was born and raised in Wisconsin and now resides in Indiana. But her heart belongs to the Badger State!
We met for lunch and then Keetha and Pam followed me out to my house. I so hope they didn't get lost on their way back to Eau Claire, I kind of live in the boonies. We had such a lovely time visiting. Keetha and her sister Pam are both warm and sweet and a lot of fun! I am pretty sure Keetha will have more to share on her blog.
So as you can see, blogger sisterhood is real! And this Sorority Party of Karen's is such a lovely idea.
Go Karen!!!
I hope to get to visit you all over the next several days.
Thanks for coming by,
Cindy
Cindy...your sisterhood hangy thingy is great! You did a wonderful job! Have a great weekend...
ReplyDeleteHey CINDY!!! How adorable and precious Karen's idea was to have this get together! I LOVE IT! I just told her I can't believe how popular she's become since the day I met her when she won my drawing ~ which had to be more than a year ago. She is a rockin! I have missed my visits at your place and all my other lovely blogging friends. Since last June, there were some pretty serious family situations going on., and my work was in a huge adjustment phase. I had little time to devote to anything but family and work during those months. My prayer is that I get to come by more often and visit with you all. And hopefully I can post a few times a month just to stay more active in the community of lovely folks! Meeting blog friends are just the BEST! And, hey, I love your little hangy Sisterhood thingie! I think you did GREAT! I'm hoping you get back to GA this year - and if you do...I'm hosting a teaparty in honor of YOU! :) Hugs friend... ~CC Catherine
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,

Aren't you lucky to have bloggy friends nearby!! Good Job on your Rush project!!
ReplyDeleteHey, if you live near Eau Claire, like my sister does, you have a wonderful author living in the area, Michael Perry, author of "Truck: A love story." That is a beautiful area. I live in California.
ReplyDeleteI love your little hangy thing!! I had no idea what to make so I hesitated joining the party...and then I learned I would have to include a picture and it was final that I wasn't joining! BUT, I'm having a blast seeing everything everyone has made!
ReplyDeleteI know Keetha slightly. You both look great together! I bet you had a great time!
You look beautiful in your pictures.

Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWe drove STRAIGHT back to our hotel with nary one wrong turn!!! We THOUGHT about giving you a little call and saying, "Cindy, we're in California, do you think we took a wrong turn???"
Thanks so much for a very lovely afternoon.
I've got my "rush" post set to run just after midnight - - - wanted to give "our" post time to be seen first. I've noticed if you post two things at about the same time, most people only look at the first one.
I love the gems around the photo Great job on your rush photo
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful that you got to meet a bloggy friend. I have met a few over the years that are now really close friends, albeit we have only met once or twice. Congrats on your upcoming grandbaby - October is a wonderful month to be born ;-) (I should know).
ReplyDeleteHave a great day
Hugs

Hi Cindy Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteSo happy to be out and about blogging again. I wanted to pop over and say hi. I did not see Karen's post about the sorority rush so I was not able to make a thingy in time. I did comment on her post though so I can at least be part of the future sisterhood fun. I love the idea.
Your hangy thingy is just so cute. You keep saying you are not creative but look at the thingys that you come up with. Love it.
I am so tickled you were able to meet additional bloggers and from your area, how fun. It looks like you all had a fun time. I will go to Keetha's blog and stop by to say hi. I can't wait to see what she posted about the event. How fun.
When are you making a trip back to Phoenix? Isn't it about time for you to come and see your son again? We need to do a lunch. Hopefully by then the doc will have me released and I can be out and about. It has been so lonely locked indoors. I am not a very good patient, but after spending 8 days in the hospital, I have done everything they have said to do so that I do not have to go back there again. Yuck!!!
Hope you had a beautiful weekend sweetie. I think of you and smile everytime I look at my pink flamingos sitting on my center island. I love them. Country hugs and so much love, Sherry
How wonderful for you to meet Keetha and her sister, Cindy. Keetha is a lot of fun on her blog and I bet she is even more fun in person...Christine
