Hey Everyone,
Please keep my brother Tom and his wife Kathy, in your thoughts and prayers.
They were evacuated yesterday morning from their home outside of Flagstaff, AZ. The fire is within a half mile of their home and is 0 percent contained. My brother watched as is exploded yesterday. It has already burned over 5000 acres and today is going to be windy and high's near 90. I talked to my brother this morning. They are staying in a hotel and although he seemed pretty calm his wife is not.
I guess the scene is really scary.
Take Care,
Cindy
So sad for your family. That is horrible to have to experience. They will be in my prayers. Becca
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry ! :( I saw on the news this morning how bad it was. They have my prayers.
ReplyDeleteCindy,
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers are with your brother and family. I experience first hand having to evacuate our home due to an approaching fire. Most scariest and unsettling thing to see dangerous flames approaching. We must pray for the winds to subside and for the strength and safety of the firefighters. May all turn out well..
Hugs!
I can't imagine. My prayers are with them.
ReplyDeleteThey will have my prayers. How frightening to witness, and to feel so helpless in stopping the fire's rampage.
ReplyDeleteDear Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWill certainly keep them in my thoughts and sending all of the positive energy possible.
OMG Cindy...Girl I will be praying your your Bro and his family...I will watch the news on this right now...Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteCindy! What a deal. I have your brother and his family in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteLiving in California and watching the western fires has really educated me. And just because I'm here in Maine it doesn't mean that the same things can't occur here in our woods.
ReplyDeleteWe were in Flagstaff last month and we love it there. Our heart aches for the loss of forest, the loss of animal life, and the threat to homes.
I'll be sending positive thoughts their way and praying for a good outcome. So scary.

My prayers are they can get this fire contained and your brother can go back home. From living in Phoenix for many, many years, I know this is such a bad time for fires in that area. I have a very dear friend in the Strawberry/Payson area that faces this problem every year.
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Flagstaff and this fire is just breaking my heart. I have a girlfriend who lives right where this is happening (within a mile). Her parents also live in the area and like your brother, were also evacuated. Maybe they all even know each other...
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts go out to your brother and his family.
Wow, Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a scary picture. I will sure say a prayer for everybody involved in this.
D
Oh my, Cindy! Bless their hearts. We are so WET here in northern Indiana I find that kind of dryness difficult to fathom!
ReplyDeleteOh Cindy, I am so sad for them, for all of Flagstaff! I can't imagine the waiting, the wondering...
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are for total containment before any homes or lives or animals are taken.
So scary...
WOW..I sure will Cindy. This is going to be an awful fire season every where I think! Come say hi :D
ReplyDeleteOh Cindy, I heard this on the news this morning and quick had to wrack my brain to remember all the towns in Arizona where I have family. Thankfully none are in Flagstaff, so I'm keeping your family in my heart and thoughts today.
ReplyDeleteOh, Cindy! That is terrifying, and I just prayed for their home. Please keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
It is absolutely horrible. This is the second time in a few years this big of a fire has been there. I am so sad about it. Pray your family's home will be spared..

ReplyDeleteThis is horrific. That picture says it all. Is it a wildfire?? I will keep Tom and his wife in my thoughts and prayers and look for this on the news.
Stay away from the Mama Bears. They are the meanest when they have cubs. How scary! No rain for us but it's hot!
