Oh the sun will come out tomorrow, tomorrow.......and it finally did! But it didn't quite make it in time for my pics. I wanted morning sun, but by the time it came out I was on the road.
I found this tablecloth at Kohl's marked down to $7.00. I loved the colors and I loved the price!
The table is set for two. The place-mats are Wally World, $1 a piece.
Napkins Kohl's and GW.
I found the yellow plates at the bottom of a box at an auction I went to. Around here, the auctioneers like to get you to bid on things times 3 or 4. Well at this particular auction, I got 6 boxes for $2. I found several nice pieces of china plus some other interesting items, all for $2.
The watering can centerpiece is one I purchased at Wally World several summers ago.
Lemonade glasses, Dollar Tree.
Baby's Breath and pansies from my garden.
And my nosy question of the week. Are you going on a summer vacation and if so where?
It's my hubby's year to pick out a spot and he picked Colorado!Yippee! I get to meet a very special blogger who I have become very close to.
Can you guess who?????
Thanks for coming by,
Cindy
I am joining Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday.
I love the new table cloth, it's so cheery and summer-like! Dang, he should have picked Utah! Have fun with the vacation. I won't be taking any, maybe a few road trips here and there...mostly to see a new grand baby! :D

What a perfect summer setting and 6 boxes for $2? Honey, that wasn't a bargain, that was a steal!
ReplyDeleteI am seriously considering driving back to my old digs in Florida this weekend. I am just feeling a need to get out and walk my favorite beaches on The Gulf and give them a big hug.
I'd like to go to an auction like that! Like a treasure hunt or grab bag! We don't have them
ReplyDeletehere.
I love the tablecloth and the yellow dishes, so pretty!
Love the pitcher and flowers too!
No, we never go on vacations. Haven't been on one in over 25 years. I just have to suffer and walk down the block to the beach. Not the same as going away though!
You really put together a beautiful table and on a shoe string. That takes talent! I love the way you mixed your silver too. Cute, cute!!
ReplyDeleteWhere are we going this summer?? We've gone from planning a trip to Europe to celebrate our 40th to now we just hope to get out of south Texas. Business stuff going on. Bummer! Friends want us to go to Colorado later on in the summer. Might just do it!
Take care.
Thanks for the visit.

Cindy, Your first photo is absolutely stunning! Love your flowers, your tablecloth and the little yellow plates. The lemon glasses go well with your china. Really pretty, Cindy!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Colorado! We love Estes Park!
Blessings, Beth
Cindy, Summer has definitely arrived on your table (if not outside). That tablecloth is soooo pretty and you got it for such a great price - not to mention those pretty plates with the yellow borders. Your lemon slice glasses are so cute. This table is what I think your personality must be -- bright and happy. laurie
ReplyDeleteVery cute Cindy! Another pretty colorful setting! You have such a wonderful sense of color, I love how vibrant your settings are! Great tablecloth! I can't believe the deal you got on the boxes of china! Finally, I love your floral arrangement in the watering can! So sweet!
ReplyDeleteGood find and the tablecloth is so eye popping...love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cheerful table. I love that you got some great deals-like the tablecloth. Really nice!
ReplyDeleteOh how delightful. I love all the splashing colors of the tablecloth!! Like the white chairs and the pitcher of flowers--really nice!
ReplyDeleteOh how inviting! I love the whole delightful 'scape! The watering can filled with flowers is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love that tablecloth! I would have picked that one up too. Love the yellow dishes - the whole setting is just so cherrfully summer!
ReplyDeleteNo we never go on "vacation". We do long weekends throughout the year and mostly "staycation".
Manuela
HI Cindy! Oh, I love your pretty table and the watering can is so pretty with those lovely flowers in it. Love how you've set the table too. I thought the tablecloth was vintage. I have to travel a bit to get to Kohls and I always forget to go in there. I'm going to have to change my ways.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so happy for you getting to meet a blogging friend. I know who it is because I read all of your comments! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Charming table, as always, Cindy! Love your watering can centerpiece -- just perfect!
ReplyDeleteWhat a deal you got -- all those boxes for only $2. It must have been fun going through them and seeing what you'd actually bought!
Beautiful tablescape, Cindy! I love your watering can centerpiece...so unusual! Hmmm...based on Chari's reaction, she must be the lucky blogger you are visiting! Happy weekend...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteHi, came back by to ogle your table, Cindy! I love your watering can... I think I might have forgotten to say that because I was ogling the linens and had linens on the brain. LOL!
ReplyDeleteSummer vacation? I wish. Unfortunately, we aren't going to be able to take one. Mr. Magpie had to go to a family wedding without me, and that would have been our vacation. But there are advantages to staying home. Maybe I can have a clean house so that when I do leave, I can home to something neat! ;-)
XOXOXO,
Sheila :-)
Hi Cindy, your table is lovely....so cheerful and fresh! It is a table that looks so joy-filled. The centerpiece is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
Barb ♥
Your table is so pretty, Cindy! I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteNo summer vacation planned. Have a small one in September in the works. Colorado sounds like a lovely place for summer vacation.
Good morning Cindy,
ReplyDeleteOh my - what a beautiful tablescape you have created! So cheerful and inviting!
Well - my guess was that you were meeting sweet Chari, and when I zipped through your comments, sure enough, that's who you are getting together with! I'm sure you will have an amazing time together!
You asked if I could suggest a couple places you might want to visit while in Colorado, and two came to mind immediately. If you are seeing Chari, then you will be close enough to Estes Park & Rocky Mountain National Park - oh, that is a piece of Colorado you wouldn't want to miss! And the other place I thought of, if you love history, is Mesa Verde National Park - another national treasure that to me gave me the same feelings as when I stood in front of Stonehenge - remarkable and beautiful at the same time.
Well, I hope you have yourself a beautiful day! Thanks for popping over to visit me!
Hugs,
Zuzu
What a beautiful table setting. I can certainly sympathize with the deer problem. We have many too. They are beautiful but a pain. Liquid Fence works!
ReplyDeleteSo much beauty on your blog. The Phlox is amazing. Mine does not grow so well. The tablescape is to die for. I've installed a fence and the deer only get to my front plants now. I'm not crazy about the fence but I always worry about those tics they carry. Thanks for sharing.
