The oil candle I found in a gift shop for $3 and the crystal candle holder was only $2 at the above mentioned antique shop (they were having a 50% off sale)
My tablecloth is vintage Target ( Previously called a quilt) and my other ceramic angel was also $2 at the(times are tough) antique shop's sale.
I already had the pink candlesticks and the wine glasses were my Grandma's.
Now on to the plates! They were at TJ Maxx for a $1 a piece, the pink salad plates are from the antique shop also $1, the silver place mats were from way way back and since I didn't have any napkins to match I just took some scrap material from about 1982 and made them. The silverware came from ( actually I don't know, I think they belonged to my husband's ex and she left them, so what's a gal to do) He can't remember, but they have little roses on them so they seem fitting for Valentine's Day. Well that concludes my vintage Tablescape Thursday. Thanks for stopping and I enjoy all of your comments. Cindy

Cindy, this tablescape is lovely, and so full of great bargains (especially the ex-wife plates--a husband who comes with pretty plates; can't beat that!). I love using quilts for tablecloths (so easy to launder-no ironing). This is such a pretty one. laurie

ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tablescape. I'm not so good at setting tables as mine always seem a little boring. I love the quilt and the way you mix and match dishes. I'm more of a paper plate kinda girl:)
A very pretty table. I've always loved the look of a quilt used as a table covering. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty table!
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI love quilts but never thought of using them for a table cloth, I will be trying that.

Great job! I had to laugh at the silverware comment....every time I took a bite of my food I would picture its her head coming off--lol
ReplyDeleteI'm like you--a true bargain hunter. I could never afford to really invest in tablescaping, first I have no room to store things and 2nd I just dont have the income for it. I had to many children!
I love the table even more knowing that you didn't spend a fortune to make it! Using what we have, finding inexpensive things to bring beauty in our homes... that is true loveliness!
ReplyDeletei love the quilt idea.very pretty...ann
ReplyDeleteLOVE the look of a quilt covering a table .. good job!
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteA lovely table! Using that quilt is such a good idea; if I had a suitable quilt, I'd use it, too. Hmm, must go shopping!
Love it, love the red and pink blending.
Cass
Oh, I just love your plates and that gorgeous quilt. Every think is just gorgeous together. Great shopping. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteCindy, this is really a pretty table with your quilt. I love to use quilts this way, too, but I just quilts in general! :-) Lovely tablescape by a lovely lady!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
Another lovely table Cindy! I use quilts as tablecloths all the time. In fact, I'll put just about anything into service as a tablecloth.
ReplyDeleteHey Cindy! You got some great buys there. I think I have that same quilt. Had it for years. Don't remember where I got it. Now it's worn and torn. I love it. I'm going to follow you.
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, I posted a comment on the post below this one - didn't see where the comment line was so thought I'd come back to see if I could find it in this particular post and why I didn't see it before is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I found it and posted....
Thanks for visiting me and I also have you in my Blog list.
Karen
Hello from "the lucky duck!" Yup. It sure was fun, and Catherine is a sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteI love your post. I really like the quilt - but I'm chicken someone is going to spill (coming from the mother of boys!) I love all my quilts. But they are all packed away safe and sound and clean. Hmmmm . . . I think that needs to change!
Thanks for the inspiration! Happy Valentines Day! Karen
Love the clear pink late over the floral... pretty!
ReplyDeleteCindy, Love your tablescape...I'm traveling, so it's taking time to make my normal rounds! ;) I especially love the angel...how sweet! ~CC Catherine
