State Fair Quilts

My husband and I saw these beautiful quilts when we were at the Minnesota State Fair last summer. I especially like the one above. Blue is my favorite color and this one just jumped out at me. I can't imagine the time and patience that went into making these. Needless to say, these were all blue ribbon winners.
I love this one too. It just seems so Americana to me. What a treasure to hand down to future generations!

I really liked the vibrant colors in this one. It just seems to say happy! I would just love to have just one of these quilts, maybe someday! Thanks for stopping by, Cindy

  3. All the quilts are Blue Ribbon worthy, that's for sure - but I too am partial to the first one. The little birds are so cute. Thanks for revisiting the State Fair - do you attend annually? Me and Jacob are avid fair attendees. We visit at least 6 out of the 12 days. Opening day is August 27th! I already took it off as a vacation day! ~ Robyn

  5. Oh my, Cindy...These are gorgeous! I especially love the first one, I think! I come from a family of mountain women who quilted and have one that was my great grandmother's. Unfortunately, the quilting stopped with my mom. Thanks for sharing them! Have a great weekend...Debbie

  7. One of the things I miss most (other than my son who is still in Minneapolis) is going each and every year - 24 of them - to the State Fair. Oh, the memories!

  9. I am drooling looking at those quilts. Love your new floor. We did the same thing 3 years ago and it was the best thing we have done for this house. They are such easy keepers
