Oh finally! Our apple and lilac tree's fully bloomed this past week. My all time favorite time of year!
It's so short but oh so sweet!
Aren't they just gorgeous? I dreamed about these trees blooming all winter long.
I was hoping to do a new table-scape but alas I have a lot less time for that now-a-days as a full time baby-sitting Grandma.
So I hope you don't mind a repeat! This was a table I did two years ago. My table has since been painted white and so it was a little strange to see these pictures at first.
I spent a good part of my free time yesterday trying to comment on your blogs. Yikes! How frustrating is that! I could not for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong.
I am still having trouble commenting on some of them so I will be around when I can, hopefully soon!
For this table I used my Blue Hill by Noritake. I've had it like forever. I also used lace table-cloth fabric. You can purchase table-cloth fabric at most fabric stores and all the ends are finished except where they cut it. I think it came to only about $12.00 for 2 yards.
I used a piece of blue pottery that I have owned for years as my centerpiece, along with freshly picked apple blossoms.
The napkins are from GW and were new. I tied some scrap silver fabric that work as napkin holder's and I also used my recently found 1847 Rogers Bros. flatware. If you remember I got the whole 51 piece set for $5.00 at a garage sale. It was a fabulous deal!
This china is still pretty to me after all these years. Barbie and Bill target birdies were put back to work.
( Do you all remember that post?
I borrowed the little blue fabric candle holder from my daughters room. The other little votive's are from Ikea.
The stand up on a chair view. Thanks for coming to my humble little blog I love visiting and checking out your creative ideas.
Cindy
P.S. I guess if you change your comment setting to a pop-up window you can get around the blogger issue.
I tried it and it worked!
I am joining some fun blog parties!

I just want to go out and sit under that tree and smell the blossoms...so pretty! I love your table too, love the sweet blue, so peaceful. :D
ReplyDeleteThe tablescape is just lovely and so much better to do a repeat than to miss time with your darling granddaughter. That's something you can't repeat.... :-)
ReplyDeleteHuggies,
Spencer
My lilacs are just starting to bloom and we have a couple blossoms on the apple trees. Spring is finally here!
ReplyDelete(a fellow Wisconsin grandma, nice to meet you)
Those trees are gorgeous, Cindy. I's have vases all over the house!! I can almost smell them! Your table is just gorgeous, too. I love the blue and touches of silver. I haven't done a tablescape in forever...if the weather ever cooperates, I may try one on the patio.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you. Is Katie full time at Walmart now? I know you love your new 'job' now but it must be tiring. I hope you are looking forward to getting away, we are going to have a ball!
XO,
Jane
Hi Girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteI had a spare minute so thought I would drop by to say hello! Things are crazy busy at my place right now...I'm afraid my blogging is suffering big-time! We had a blast at the Atwood, Kansas Rod Run last weekend. As soon as we got home the kids came. They will be here thru the weekend. And...believe it or not...I have Russell in tiling around the bath tub in the main bath. It's looking great...something I have wanted to get done for a long time! Hehe!
Girlfriend, I'm so happy to hear that spring has made it to your place...FINALLY! Of course, it has been the same way at our place. In fact, it has been sooo durn cold this week...only getting into the 50's during the daytime. You know that I just adore your place! Everytime I see your apple trees, I think how perfect it is that you named your home..."Applestone Cottage"! The apple trees in bloom just look glorious...sooo very pretty! I love it! Today, I finally went and cut a big bouquet of lilacs for the dining room table. They are just now blooming. I also really enjoyed seeing your pretty apple blossom tablescape again, sweet friend! The apple blossoms make for the prettiest centerpiece!!! Ohhh...and I love your beautiful blue Noritake china...it's gorgeous!
Well dear friend, I hope that all is well with you and Dan...and all of your sweet family! Sounds like you are keeping busier than ever with Addison...such a delight!!! Take care, Darlin'...and I'll talk with you later! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous apple blossoms with us...as well as your beautiful table!
Love ya,
Chari
Hi Cindy, I'm happy to see the previous post as it was before my blogging time! Our apple trees and lilacs are out now too and today I was thinking of how glorious the scent is as I walk out the front door! I hope people can comment on my post now!! It is so frustrating to think no one is interested! hehe.....Have a nice evening. Linda
ReplyDeleteYour tablescape is as lovely as your apple blossoms! I'm a big fan of Noritake.
ReplyDeleteI'd much rather be playing with a baby than setting the table, lol.
In late October I travel with my aunt and a bus load of her friends from the Atlanta area to the apple barns just over the border into Tennessee. We always have a great time and I stock up on apples, apple butter and apple bread! I'd go crazy in the kitchen if I had them growing in my own yard. You know, the good kind of crazy, lol.
Your tablescape is very pretty! I love your dishes. I can only imagine how busy you are with that new "job". She is so worth it though!
ReplyDeleteso pretty....being a full time grandma is a lot of work...but the rewards are well worth it...
ReplyDeleteLovely tablescape and I could almost walk right in to your apple blossoms on the tree.
ReplyDeleteYour table setting is so pretty and thanks for sharing the pretty blossoms . I love Spring, but not the storms that come with it.
ReplyDeleteThese trees really are so beautiful in bloom! I had a friend in college who was the "Apple Blossom Queen" one year. So every time I see apple trees I think of her.
ReplyDeleteOh those apple blossoms are some kind of heaven, Cindy! Wish I could smell them! You're a bit ahead of us - still waiting on the lilacs and our crab apple (only apple tree we have) hasn't fully blossomed yet...ANTICIPATION!! Dang...this spring has been a long time coming! Love the blue and white also....Thanks for that - for so long, I avoided blue because of the 1980's "country" blue thing...I'm finding a great love for its true potential nowadays....Hope the little Blogger "work-arounds" helped somewhat...Thanks for visiting!! Smiles & Hugs, Robin
ReplyDeleteI like your tablescape. The color looks so soft and pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love those trees, wish I can just sit under it with a book and cup of tea! I love your tablescape with that beautiful Noritake china...gorgeous! You must be so busy now, but she's adorable! Wish I was that busy too!
ReplyDeleteLots of hugs.
FABBY
Your trees are so beautiful, Cindy! How I wish I could have some that blossom that much. Love your tablescape. The china is exquisite and the flatware, OMG! $5? How can you be so lucky?...Christine
ReplyDeleteLovely trees! It is already hot here and before long I imagine my flowers & plants will suffer. I'm not a fan of blue but your table really is lovely...neat idea for the napkins. I will be grandmothering more too now that summer is here. Glad to hear all is well in your world.
ReplyDeleteHi, this is my first visit here and I love your beautiful table! The blue and white against the brown is gorgeous, I'm so in love with your chairs!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing (again) Jannet

ReplyDeleteGod bless and have a great day! :o)
Beautiful apple blossoms!
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteEveryone is having blogger issues at the moment -- so FRUSTRATING!! I love your tablescape, and this is my first time to see it. All the elements look so soft and springy, and your Noritake dishes are so pretty! Thanks for the tip about the tablecloth fabric -- that's good to know.
Your apple trees are just spectacular. Cuisine Kathleen did an apple blossom post a few weeks ago, and hers were gorgeous too. Makes me want to plant some apple trees. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Cindy! Blogger is having so many problems! Hopefully soon it will all be fixed.
ReplyDeletebe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I have been gone and unable to post, but I was so relieved when little Addyson recovered. As for the pictures of your beautiful apple trees all I can say is Wow! I just want to grab a picnic basket, a blanket, a good book, and curl up under one of them on your beautiful grass lawn. You are so lucky!
ReplyDeleteHi, Just found you over at The Harwards. I've been reading some of your posts, and must say that I love your site!
ReplyDeleteWill be checking out more of your previous posts!
Beautiful apple blossoms and beautiful table Cindy!
ReplyDeleteCindy, Your table is just gorgeous! I love the Blue Hill china. Your trees are pretty too. Thanks for sharing the beauty. I enjoyed it. Don't ever feel bad about repeating a tablescape, or other post. If it's a year old or more, chances are most people won't remember and it will be new again to them. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Beth
Delicious colors....Love the table so much! I am drooling as I check out your blog, it's amazing, every page :)
