Some of my Favorite Things and Why I am Thankful!

Hi Everyone!  I am joining my friend Laurie for some of my Favorite Things Saturday.
Please go over and check out her wonderful blog and  fun links when you are finished here.
One of my new favorite things are little girls clothes! There seems to be a never ending supply of cute things for little girls.    And here we have little Miss Addison all decked out in her new turkey apparel.
Of course we had to try it on to see if it would fit!
This cute outfit was a gift from a relative.  Addison will get to meet a lot of her Aunts and Uncles on Turkey Day so of course she needs to be dressed for the occasion!

I did little shopping on my lunch break yesterday.  I was looking for a Christmas dress for Miss Addison and I think I found the perfect one!

Of course we had to try it on her to see if it fit properly.  I just hope she doesn't outgrow it before Christmas.
Isn't this just a dreamy little dress?
I found it at JC Penney's.  It was on sale and then I had an extra 15 percent off so it went from 35.00 to 14.00.  Not bad at all.
Addison is going in for her first pictures soon so we wanted her to have something really pretty!

So while I am not out buying new dishes, I sure am having a blast with baby girl clothes!
Little Addison will be 6 weeks old on Sunday and she is certainly a blessing to us all!
We had warm and beautiful weather all week with highs in the mid to upper 60's.
But I think Old Man Winter may have blown in today.  We barely made it to 40.  It was cold, rainy
and dreary to boot.  However, no snow as of  yet.   I think the ground is still too warm.
But just Northwest of us near the Twin Cities they are expecting up to 6 inches of the fluffy stuff tonight.
So I have a feeling we will be getting some soon.
Deer Hunting starts right before Thanksgiving here.  I know the hunters are always very happy to have snow before their season begins.
Take Care Everyone and I will be coming around to visit you soon!
Cindy

  1. Hi Girlfriend...

Ohhh...how adorable!!! I love Addison's Thanksgiving outfit...that little bib is too cute!!! Hehe! Girlfriend, that is such a beautiful little Christmas dress!!! Addison just looks like a little Christmas angel...I love it!!! You got some great photos, Cindy!!! Thank you for sharing your sweet little angel with us!!!

Well, we had our first snow of the season yesterday! I think we got about 4 ins. or so. It was a really wet snow...so it really piled up on the trees, etc. Of course, the sun is out today so it's practically all melted now. Brrr!!! You would think that since you live so much further north that ya'll would have had snow by now. Fickle weather! Hehe!

Well sweet friend, you have a wonderful weekend! Darrin and Danielle will be here tonight some time. We haven't seen them for several weeks so we're looking forward to it! It'll be a busy weekend! Hehe!

    Love ya, sweet lady!

  6. Adorable! And I mean Addison too! When my kids were young, I always shopped at JC Penney. They always seemed to have good sales on children's clothes with an additional markdown. That was 25 years ago! I see they are still doing it. Her first pictures will be beautiful, I'm sure. :0)

  7. Oh, she is a doll, Cindy, and looks so adorable in those outfits. The dress is beautiful...I love Penney's. Great deal! She has a little smile on her face like she knows she looks all dressed up!

Hasn't the weather been gorgeous? I am really loving it and am SO grateful it's not a horrible November. Great post!

  9. Cindy-She is adorable! I love little girl clothing too! We have had our share with the 3 little granddaughters. There is not nearly as much cute stuff for baby boys...as we are finding out. I love her Christmas dress-it is absoltuely beautiful! And, can you believe all that hair? I wonder if she will keep all of it? My oldest daughter was so bald when she was a baby that I used to tape bows to her head so people would know she was a girl. I'd probably get arrested for doing that now. Hey! At least I wasn't using a stapler...lol

We have the same weather that you do - except we got a bit of rain today. Hugs- Diana

  13. Hi Cindy Sweetie...
Oh my gosh is Ms Addison ever sweet? I would say she is priceless. Katie did a beautiful job did she not?

I can't believe she is already 6 weeks old. How sweet she is. It is so much fun to shop for that first grandbaby, but when you get to (8) it is a little bit harder to find the perfects for the budget. Enjoy her, she is so sweet. You just want to hug her don't you?

Thanks for the beautiful share. We had another beautiful sunny warm day here in the valley. Tony was out finishing up the painting of the trim on the house, and I am cleaning inside like a mad woman to get everything ready for Momma's arrival on Monday. I can't wait.

Hope you are well sweetie. I think of you and smile. Come see us soon. Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

  15. Cindy, you have taken to grandmotherhood just as I knew you would! Addison is an absolute doll and her outfits are just as sweet as she is without a doubt. I'm glad to hear she is close by and that you get to spend so much time with her. I agree that the little girl dresses are so much fun to shop for, I did the same thing when my Kayla was young. Now she's almost 20 years old (I can't believe it) and instead of clothing we went shopping for new tires yesterday for her car. Honey, it wasn't nearly as much fun as you're having, lol.

  22. She is so cute. When our Granddaughter was a baby we use to dress her up in pretty little dresses like that too. Maybe that is why she is the little Dress Diva now. HA! HA!

  36. Cindy, Baby Addison is absolutely GORGEOUS! She has the prettiest little lips~ You are blessed, that's for sure. There's nothing like buying clothes for little girls. My granddaughter namesake Cate (short for Catherine) is 2 in December and we're now moving in to dress up clothes. She's a cutie too. Hugs friend. Keep enjoying that baby...and buying her dresses is for sure even much more fun than buying dishes, YES! :) ~CC
