I am a Christmas Thief and I just can't help myself!
I am being inspired by all your wonderful blogs!
Here's my version of the gingerbread Christmas tree.
I was so inspired by
Cheri @Cheri's Chatter.
She has decorated the most darling gingerbread tree for her kitchen.
I wanted to add a picture of her cute tree but my server kept rejecting it.
I guess it knew I was thieving, I mean borrowing.
I think I picked the worse time of day here for pictures. I just used what I already had on hand. I had the urge though to go out and buy some more.
Another not so great pic. But check out my kitty in the background.
Lily is up in the tree. When she gets excited she will just run like crazy and up the tree she goes!
I hadn't even noticed her until I looked at these pics. Hubby and I had been outside decorating the front porch.
And I guess that got her so excited!
It was a lot warmer here today with highs in the 40's. We had been in the
20's with wicked wind chills. As you can see we still don't have any snow.
I like my snow for Christmas, I want a winter wonderland! Last year I was fretting about our lack of snow and then we got slammed with 12 inches of it.
So be careful what you wish for!
Now Cheri's tree is a lot cuter but I had fun creating this.
Maybe I have some leftover burlap. That would work!
I am joining Marty @ A stroll thru life for Tabletop Tuesday.
Have a great week everyone!
Cindy
How cute, Cindy! I am also a Christmas thief! lol I love seeing Lily up a tree! My very quiet little Kitty does that, too! As for Isabella...she picked up the cone all on her own! She is such a ham! Happy week!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteCindy that is so cute! I have another small tree I put in the kitchen too. I love the gingerbread theme. Your kitty in the tree totally made me laugh out loud. Ours act exactly the same way, running up trees when they are feeling frisky. LOL! Silly cats! I love the cute little ice skate and sleigh ornaments also.
ReplyDeleteCindy your tree is adorable...I love getting new ideas from the blogging world...a burlap tree skirt would be cute....so would a red gingham dish towel...
ReplyDeleteYou Xmas tre is beautiful....and so Lily is!!! Hugs, Flavia
ReplyDeleteP.S. ...the gingerbread cookies are wonderful!!Brava
Cute Cindy! That's OK we are suppose to be thieves out here, that is the whole purpose right?! Yes burlap would look great!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the little tiny white ice skates.
ReplyDeleteI hope your hubster will SURVIVE that Packer "little less than win" yesterday!
My Colts, on the other hand, stunk the place up!
Oh Cindy...use the burlap for the skirt...I would make another piece of ribbon in burlap thinner than the ribbon you aready have and add it to the top also...it is precious. You will have to see the wreath I made for my kitchen...I haven't posted it yet, but soon!
ReplyDeleteThis gingerbread lover loves your tree. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this little kitchen Christmas tree. Little trees around the house are my favorites. For a tree skirt for a tree that size you could even try using a scarf. I use a table runner for one of my small trees. You know me, always wanting to shop my house first :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little tree and I agree, burlap would look great for a tree skirt! Have a blessed week~
ReplyDeleteOh Cindy, it looks fabulous. I love the gingerbread men and the ice skates and all of your cute ornaments. Looks wonderful. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI love your tree.Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteI do like your tree. think we are all guilty of "stealing" others' decorating ideas. :D I for one, am hoping we don't get any snow this Winter.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Looks so cute-I'll have to try that next year. The Bavarian Christmas linky party is now open-won’t you come and join us at http://dobermans-by-the-sea.blogspot.com/2010/11/1st-christmas-linky-party-at-dobermans.html
ReplyDeleteI think this is a sweet tree...there is just something so happy about gingerbread boys!
ReplyDeleteYour tree turned out cute Cindy, and your cat up the tree is hilarious! Thanks for the chuckle:@)
ReplyDeleteCindy-That is darling. Don't you be wishing for too much snow cuz I don't want to get slammed when it leaves you and moves my way!
ReplyDeleteI have had a little gingerbread tree for years in my kitchen too. Just something warm and wonderful about it. I still don't have any Xmas stuff out yet...this afternoon I'll get started- I hope! hugs- Diana
The tree is darling, Cindy! I love all the ornaments! I tried my darndest, but I can't see the cat in the tree! Duh!
ReplyDeleteI think burlap would be a great skirt. I bought a little feather tree after last Christmas and I am still trying to figure out how to decorate it. I'd love a nice big window ledge like you have.
See you soon! :-)
Xo,
Jane
It's probably quite traumatic for a kitty when the house suddenly lights up!!! I'd probably run up a tree too! Betcha' pay to see that one!!!
ReplyDeleteYour stolen tree is just precious you little thief you! Heeehehehe!
God bless ya and have a fantastic week sweetie!!!
A HEM!
ReplyDeleteNo snow?
What is with that?
I COUNT ON YOU!
Girl ...
Debbie from Life in my Studio got it all.

Cute tree!
Nothing better than a gingerbread tree in the kitchen. That's where mine is too.
Just checkin in with you . . . . no snow. You take the cake my friend!
LOL - HUGS! Me.
Your tree is so cute. I used to make homemade gingerbread ornaments when my kids were little. So long ago now.
ReplyDeleteWillow
Your tree is so happy. Love the gingerbread theme. I will have to be a thief as well. I did not think cats climbed that high in a tree.

ReplyDeletecathy
This is so cute, Cindy!
ReplyDeleteThese cloudy days are a real challenge for picture taking, that is for sure. I was disappointed in my foyer photos taken on an overcast day.
Cindy, this is just the most adorable tree.. I want one too- can I thieve --- cough cough, I mean borrow this idea too...
ReplyDeleteHoliday Hugs

Heavens Cindy, if we didn't "thieve" from one another, we'd never have anything to show. Love your tree. And the cat in the tree is hilarious. I love when they get excited like that. Guess you'll be taking lots of granddaughter pics this Xmas!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Cindy, your baby is going to grow up LOVING this tree ... it is darling, every child's delight.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful eve ~

Cindy, your tree turned out sooo cute!!! You can steal, I mean borrow, from me anytime:) I've always heard that imitation is the greatest form of flattery, so I feel flattered:) I was at Dollar General today & they had some cute gingerbread ornaments for $1!!! Do you have a DG where you are? We have them all over the place in GA. I didn't buy any because I just don't really have too much room for anymore but they were really cute. The burlap would be cute...I use green burlap under my husband's hunting tree. In a magazine I saw some cute g'bread ornaments made out of sheets of cork...might have to try those sometimes. Enjoy your tree!
ReplyDeleteOh you are not a thief, so many have trees with gingerbread ornies in their kitchens! :)
ReplyDeleteHi CIndy....this tree is so cute and such a good idea to have a little tree in the kitchen...I love going away to see my girls for Christmas ofcourse but I do miss decorating and having a tree...one of these days I will live closer to them and be able to have my big 2 story tree again....hope you had a great Thansgiving
ReplyDeleteHi Girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteOhhh...your gingerbread tree is sooo adorable, Cindy! You know, I am just coming from Gloria's and she has a gingerbread tree in her kitchen as well! Hmmm...great minds think alike! Hehe! I loved getting a peek at all of your pretty ornaments...love those ice skates, Girlfriend! You know, the burlap would look sooo cute around the bottom of the tree...especially since the gingerbread men are brown! It sure is beginning to look like Christmas at your place...soo pretty! Girl, I just heehaw'd when I seen Lily up the tree! That's sooo funny!
It sounds like you're having the same kind of weather we are. It's been terribly cold and my old bones are paying for it! It's supposed to warm up the next few days! Yay!!! We really haven't had much snow yet but I'm like you...I want some for Christmas! Well sweet friend, I do apologize at being sooo late to get by for a visit. I think that doing all the Thanksgiving and having the kids here...wore me out. I'm still trying to catch up. I still have all my autumn decor up...it's pitiful! Maybe I'll feel like getting busy tomorrow! Okay...I'm going to go and catch up on the posts that I've missed. I'm sooo sorry, Girlfriend!
Love ya...
Chari
I saw Cheri's tree and it is so adorable, your's is too! I love the gingerbread theme, it just reminds of Christmas baking. I love the aroma of the kitchen during the holidays!
ReplyDeleteIt took me a minute to spot your cat up the tree, so funny. Looks like she's just hanging there.
btw, margaritas and shelling? I'm in!!!!!!!
Cindy, your tree is soooo cute! Love the ice skates in addition to all of the gingerbread. What cute g.b. garland. Your cat looks sort of comfortable up in the tree! Would you believe we had snow in Ark. yesterday morning? The ground was too warm for it to stick, but huge flakes fell for about an hour! We silly Arkansas had cricks in our necks from looking up at it while it was falling (we don't get that opportunity very often-especially when it's not even Dec. yet!) laurie
ReplyDeleteHow cute, Cindy!! I love your little gingerbread tree!!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I love your little tree! I'd have little trees all over my house if I had the room.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog too!
You have a new follower!
So cute! It's so nice when we all inspire each other!
ReplyDeleteYour tree is darling! I love decorating my kitchen with gingerbread too.
