I am joining Cuisine Kathleen for her Christmas White Party! Click on her link to see more of the participants.
First let me just say, Kathleen suggested we could bend the rules a bit. So bend I did!
My only new purchase are these cool little white votive's that I found at Wally World. A pack of six for only $5!
For my centerpiece I used a piece of gold sparkle fabric that I purchased many years ago. I think I used it for my parent's 50 th Wedding Anniversary centerpiece. I also used a gold tree that I found while out thrifting.
Now my table is white and my outdoor background is really white!
I set the table for two. I used these silver sparkle chargers that I purchased at Wally World about 7 or 8 years ago. The gold chargers were free, ( I won them as part of a give away) and my china is kind of white.
I only have mismatched every day white plates so I used my Blue Hill by Noritake. No kidding, I have had this china since 1982 and I still love it!
The little white dessert plates are also Noritake and I found them at Savers. Four plates for only a $1.99.
White and silver napkins are also from Savers. I almost forgot I had them but they were about $2 for the set of 4 .
Gold stemware purchased on sale at Wally World for a buck a piece! I found the pretty etched glassware at a garage sale this summer! A set of 6 were only $5!
I topped each plate with a sparkly Christmas ornament! It could make a nice party gift to take home.
I love these little votives!
I think I might go back and get more! They have them in red and green too.
So there you have it! My white table done on the cheap!
I love how blogging brings so many surprises! I just reconnected with an old friend who decided to leave me a note on my blog! Hi Cheri from Missouri!
Cheri is an old and dear friend of mine. I sure wished she lived closer! She used to, and we had so much fun!
And then there's Keetha! Keetha of The Eclectic Company is now my new neighbor so to speak! We only live about 60 miles apart now. And after the Holidays I am heading over to see her. I will be the local Bloggy Welcome Wagon !
Now go say hi to Kathleen and check on her party!
Cindy
I am also joining Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday.

Pretty table, Cindy. I didn't get a white table set, so my snow people decided to throw a party instead. Looking at your previous post photos you'll probably laugh at my winter wonderland. It hardly compares. LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table! And the the snow outside sets the scene so perfectly! such beautiful dishes, and a fabulous centerpiece!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't call it cheap, it's too elegant to be called cheap! LOL Very beautiful :D
ReplyDeleteYou always create such a beautiful table :-) My girls would love to find little votive cups like that. Their middle names are Hope and Joy.

Marcia
Everything looks so pretty and sparkly, this would make a pretty New Years Eve table! I love your pretty dishes {can you believe I forgot to bring the Blue Willow dishes for you when we went to LG?] Next time we meet I won't forget them.

ReplyDeleteCindy, you really created a beautiful setting by bending the rules :) What brings me the most joy is how it was done on a bargain - I'm a bargain girl myself. That being said I just bought the purple stemware matching your gold on clearance at our wallyworld and paid 1.50, you beat me on that one!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Good morning my dear friend Cindy, yes, I too, am so happy that I finally decided to read your 2009 (hey, I am only a year late) Christmas card and find your awe inspiring blog!! Your creativity amazes me, now my home seems so bland and bare compared to your cozy cottage. You have inspired me to try some of your ideas this winter, while I am yearning for warmer places!
ReplyDeleteHugs and Kisses to you and that darling, darling Addison!
Big Hugs and many blessings,
Cheri
Lovely whites and silvers!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out!
Now YOU stay warm too!!! Still in the minuses over here in the mornings, and I'm sure the same over there.
Cindy, this is so pretty! My favorite elements are the silver ornaments at each place and the beautiful etched glassware. What a bargain you got on those! The overall effect is lovely!

Cindy, that gold Christmas tree makes such a stunning centerpiece. I can't believe you got that at a thrift store! The candles look so pretty lit up. I saw those at Wal Mart and would have bought some if I'd seen them lit. Your china is so pretty, and I love the ruffly edge on that salad plate. I really NEED some of those napkins! What a great find those were, and they are beautiful! Pretty, pretty table! laurie

Wish you a Merry Christmas.
Greetings, Johanna
I LOVE the glow of those votives! But I've vowed not to go to Hell-mart until after the holidays. (That's what my best friend calls Walmart.) I so want a table and chairs just like yours! Santa, are you listening?
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Hi sweet friend...
ReplyDeleteOhhh my gosh, I bet you think that I have been lost or something! I'm sorry that it's been so long since I've been by for a visit...it's just been busy here at my place! Girlfriend, you guys really did get the snow...didn't you? OMG...23 in.? That's unreal! Of course, I spent some time trying to catch up over here at your place and I seen the photo of Dan trying to dig ya'll out of the snowbanks! Hehe! I guess I shouldn't laugh...it could happen here...eeks! You know that we have only had two little snows this year...they melted before the days end too. I keep waiting to for that white stuff. It's a little scary...because it's this kind of weather that a big ol' blizzard takes you by surprise. I see that you ended keeping Addison because of being snowed in. Girlfriend, she is just a little doll and she sure is growing! She is such a beautiful little girl!
Ohhh...and before I forget...wanted to tell you how pretty that I think your skate project turned out! Girl, you did such a great job redoing those skates...I loved how they turned out!!!
Okay...not let's talk about this fabulous Christmas table that you created! Girlfriend, it's GORGEOUS! I love your table centerpiece...that tall, glittery gold tree is soooo pretty! I love your new votives...they're beautiful! I didn't see any of those at our Walmart. I'll have to check again! Love, love, LOVE your beautiful place settings! That china is just gorgeous! Love the many pretty layers of dishes! Ohhh...and I love your new white and silver napkins! I need a set of those...especially since I do so much with silver and white! I don't know if we have a Savers in Ft. Collins or not...I haven't ever seen one there. Anyway, this is such a beautiful table, sweet friend! You did GOOD!!!
Well Darlin', I know that I've written you a book here. Hehe! I hope that my note is finding all of you well. We are fine...just busy, busy! I'll talk with you later, Girlfriend!
Love ya,
Chari
PS...you were asking where I got the silver bells. Found them at the Dollar Tree. They came nine to a box...all for just $1.
How beautiful, Cindy! Your table looks so elegant...never mind the price! And...I love the snowy view! Merry Christmas!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteOh your tablescape makes me feel merry and bright! I just love the peaceful white.
ReplyDeleteSeasons greetings to you and yours.
Everything is just so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty table that you have set!
ReplyDeleteLove it with the glow of candles!
Girl, you know how to find a bargain!!! And yet your table looks like a million bucks...beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Cindy! I love everything about it.

Love the gold accents with your Christmas White tablescape. The acorns are a wonderful touch, too! Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Cindy...the little bit of blue reminds me of ice around the snow! Love your centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours!
Well now, not only am I drooling over your gorgeous tablescape, I'm so impressed that you had the perfect white backdrop to set the whole thing off! Isn't it nice when Mother Nature cooperates for our bloggy photos?
ReplyDeleteCindy, in case I don't make it back this week, I want to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas, especially with that new granddaughter!
