It's Monday and time for some blue! Please visit our hostess, Smiling Sally at the link above for more bluesy posts! We had a beautiful week-end here in Wisconsin. Hubby and I took a day and night away and happened upon this car show. We had taken a little jaunt to Wisconsin Dells, which is only an hour from us for a little R &R and were surprised to see all the people attending . My favorites were the blues!

ReplyDeleteGreat cars! Loved the convertible,t oo!
ReplyDeleteCute post! I'm sure that my husband's grandparents have been to that car show (if it's an annual thing) as Grandpa was a "antique" car collector.

Valerie
They don't make them like that anymore~ Happy Blue Monday ~ Susan

Blessings,

Hi Cindy....It's great to be back & thank you for your sweet comments on my blog. Boy, those cars were from my era when cars used to be CARS & not motorized eggbeaters...heehee. I wish I owned any one of them! ;-) Bo
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteThey just don't make them pretty like that anymore! There's nothing like a nice big shiny chrome bumper! You look so pretty too next to that '56 Buick. My husband is into cars but mostly late 60's and early 70's Mustangs. Looks like you had a fun weekend! Hugs, Loretta
Hi Cindy, those are great cars. I will definitely have to bring my husband in here to view this.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday.

Hi Cindy, The first picture of the '56 Chevy was just like the car my first boyfriend had when I was 16 (it was a 10 year old car at that time.. LOL). It was the first car of my first alone date allowed me by my parents! Brings back memories!

ReplyDeleteHey Girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteOhhh my...I'm trying to play "catch up" with my blogging! I'm afraid that I'm very behind on everyone's posts...hopefully I can get caught up this week!
I wanted to stop by...read the sweet note that you left for me on my French girl bust. I'm so glad that you and your honey were able to get away for the weekend also...so funny that y'all went to a car show too! Russell was looking at your post and like the 56 chevy...I love the chevy convertible! But of course, my favorite pic was of you and your matching color coordinated car!!! You're such a pretty lady Cindy!!!
I don't know if I've ever mentioned that I really struggle with health issues...mainly fibromyalgia. It's the reason for my early retirement from school. Anyway, I always have a tough time of it when we have our little weekend adventures. It takes me awhile to recuperate. I expect that I won't be getting much done this week. I hope to post something in a couple of days...we'll see! Just didn't want you to worry about me if I'm not around blogland quite as much! Of course, sitting at the computer is one of the things that I can do...when I'm feeling bad.
How is your week going so far? Hope that all is well with you and your family, my friend!!! I'll talk with you later...
Love ya,
Chari
Oh how I wish I had our little 1952 Ford back..or our 1953 Chevy Coupe. I loved both those cars...
ReplyDeleteHow I would love to own one of them..but it can become expensive..even to get them repaired. I would suppose it helps to know how to repair them before jumping in and buying one..of course I would want it all in gorgeous shape! Silly me! What fun!
