It's that time of week again. When you are finished here head on over to Susan's Blog @
http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/ for some wonderful stories and pics. Today I thought I would take you on an outdoor tour of some lovely homes. We were in Arizona visiting my son when these were taken. We love taking little tours out of the way and these homes really caught our eye. (click any pic to enlarge)
They were all in the 1 to 2 million range and oh so far out of our price range. They were fun to see and some were holding open houses.
Well, not being particularly shy, my sister-in-law and I went on in.
It was a bit funny when the realtor starting asking us about our home preferences and price range. I bet she would have fallen over if I had said "oh, about 100-200 thousand".
Well, it was fun while it lasted and even though I so enjoyed seeing them......
I am perfectly happy in my own little cottage. Thanks for coming along. Cindy
Fun post, I love looking at houses and do it every chance I get and in all price ranges. Thanks for sharing your fun. Happy Outdoor Wednesday.

WOW!! Cindy I always when I see these kind of homes wonder what the taxes and up keep would be on them..Now I would have loved to gone at night and peek in the windows...Happy Wednesday to you dear friend...hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun tour you had! :0)
ReplyDeleteI always evaluate what it would take to clean these lovely homes which makes me so content with my little cottage :0)
Cindy, these aren't houses; they are mansions! It's fun to see how the wealthy live, but I'm like you, I'll just stay in my little home and be happy without servants! laurie
ReplyDeleteCindy, I never grow tired of looking at pretty house. They really don't even have to be that expensive. Mine price range is very close to yours. I bet it was fun to tour them.
ReplyDeletewhat fun! a cottage is more homey though
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI gulped when you said 1 to 2 million, that's a little out of my price range too!! lol However they are beautiful homes and I always enjoy looking at such homes. I imagine if a person could afford a home like these they certainly could afford to have them cleaned, it would take me forever to clean them.LOLThank you for sharing, I so enjoyed them.
Sue
Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI am not much of a desert fan but these are gorgeous homes!! I think you might have gotten more of a rise out of the man if you had said you were bored & just looking!!! LOL!
Amazing what people can & will spend for empty square feet. I will alway prefer a little happy space....
Thanks for coming again today. I so appreciate your comments, my friend (and neighbor!!) ;-)
xoxo

Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteThere are few things that I like more than peeking inside beautiful homes. Sometimes I get on our local MLS and look at the interior shots of peoples homes that are for sale. Does that make me a snoop? I hope not. I just appreciate a well decorated home and get wonderful ideas for my own home by looking at them. My favorite is the fourth pic down with the stone exterior. I wonder what the inside looks like? hmmmmmmmm Have a great day! Hugs, Loretta
I love seeing pretty houses! These with the Spanish influence are so different from anything around here. I am always amazed at how history still affects our lives - and our architecture. Thanks for sharing! :D Jewel
ReplyDeletethose are surely beautiful. price range is similar for us to! Our son is finding some great deals in Arizona right now on houses, but I dont know anything about Arizona or where it would be safe to live. My son keeps trying to convince the entire family we need to move!
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely but nothing is better than home sweet home! I have an outdoor wednesday post, too!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to meet your SIL and go with you two to tour a grand home. Thanks for sharing. Happy Outdoor Wednesday. Here's mine:

We'll be driving by within blocks of some of these beautiful homes today on the way to a doctor's appointment. I think I've seen these same houses, or at least ones that look just like them.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing photos of the McMansions...been there, done that! And you know what...would not replace your cottage either...it's lovelier than all those mcmansions out there.
Impressive houses and such green lawns for such an arid state!

Hi Cindy...Oh, how I love to see how the "other half" lives...but, like you I'm very happy with my home & thankful for it too...What amazes me in these kind of homes are the mega sized kitchens that the thin as a stick homeowner never cooks in...they order out! ;-) Bo

ReplyDeleteHi Cindy at Applestone. There is no place like home! You would have to have help to live in one of those huge homes.
