Sunday Favorites/ Deer Frolicking in the snow!

I am joining my friend Chari, for Sunday Favorites.  Check out her lovely blog, you won't be wanting to leave.  I love this deer video my hubby shot last winter and I hope you will too!
This short little video clip (very short)  was taken with our digital camera and through our living room picture window.  (If you want to make it bigger, press ctrl and scroll mouse away from you)   Had we had stepped outside, they would have scattered. For a $5.00 bag of corn, we have cheap and fun enertainment. Hey it's winter in Wisconsin, we have to get creative!!!  You can hear us in the background counting deer.....like I said,  it's winter in Wisconsin.  Just trying to keep our sanity during these long winter months!  Do you have anything special you use to combat cabin fever?  Just don't tell me a week in Mexico, although that would work.
Cindy

  4. Rearrange furniture, RX for Cabin Fever...LOL!

They are predicting a big old ice and snow storm for us, beginning tomorrow. Epic proportions according to the weather guys. So with the ice, we are preparing for no power, just in case. Sure could use a couple of deer to entertain us.;-)

  6. I love this, Cindy. They are so pretty, and I'm glad you gave them some corn, too. They are such magnificent creatures. I know they are naughty and eat things they shouldn't, but oh, they are gorgeous!

I was thinking of you yesterday as I set my "Christmas" table for next weekend. Yes, I am going to have Christmas in February since I didn't have it in December or January. LOL! I'm feeling better so I will do our dinner next weekend. I used my brass deer as the centerpiece, and it is actually looking more like a winter tablescape. That's the beauty of deer... they are good for any season.

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

I feel cabin fever and I've been baking up a storm because of it..not a good thing for my waistline.

  10. Oh Cindy, I remember when I lived in Oregon the deer use to wander through the back yard and I loved watching them. Beautiful sight. Thanks also for the comment on the ottoman. I know with your DH you can make one of these in about 10 minutes. If you do I want to see. Hugs, Marty

Oh I wish I could've ran around the corner and been in the shot with them and surprised the heck out of you.
Watch out! You just never know ...

  12. Lovely view, Cindy! Last week as I was heading home, I saw the most numbers of deer on our street just before turning into our driveway. There must have been at least a dozen of them on both sides of the street and then 3 of them crossed right in front of me. I struggled to get the camera out of my purse but they were gone in an instant....Christine

  13. Hi Girlfriend...

Ahhh...I loved your video of the deer! It was so sweet to hear you and Dan's voices again too! Wow...14 deer!!! That is awesome! Thanks so much for sharing this sweet repost with us for the Sunday Favorites party today, dear friend! I hope that ya'll are having a fabulous weekend! We're getting ready to "hunker down" with the storm that has moved into our area this morning. They say lots of snow and really frigid temps...brrr! Sure wished that I had some deer to watch and keep me company while being stuck inside! wink!

    Love ya,
    Chari

  14. Hi Cindy,
I love watching deer and squirrels play. Sometimes all we have to do for entertainment is just look out our back doors.

    Great video!
