Hi all,
I am joining Jill @ Gypsy Brocante for her first ever Porch club. This came along at a good time for me.
With the snow piling up ever deeper and deeper, I need a little Springtime dreaming.
Our front porch is small but it's also colorful and cozy!
We dine out here....
We spend many cozy evenings on our front porch. Hubby and I chat and enjoy the views....
Summertime view from our front porch...
Lily likes to sunbathe and hunt for mice! Or meezer's as my hubby likes to call them.
She is an amazing hunter and generally needs to bring me her catch of the day. I would prefer she didn't, but I try to ooh and aahh just enough to get her to run the other way.
I plant lot's of flowers on our porch! I especially like petunias which really thrive! Our front porch faces the East so we get some wonderful morning sun.
And in the early morning we usually see several of these fellows!
We have some comfy wicker chairs to sit on.
And since an Apple Cottage really should have red, we painted our front door and shutters a shade called Apple Red. Thanks for letting me take a little summertime trip!
And have a lovely week everyone!
Cindy
I am also joining the very talented Marty @ A Stroll Thru Life for Tabletop Tuesday.

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Cindy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post..makes me really want spring to hurry up. What was left of our 6" of snow melted with our 70+ temps late last week and now we've got freezing rain and snow on it's way. Your pictures are just what I needed to remind me that this will end soon. What a beautiful place to sit and enjoy your lovely scenery. I hope you have a wonderful week.
Maura :)

Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteI love, love the RED..it's so cheerful and vibrant...I love all the flowers too. I'm trying to decide what color to paint our shutters and porch furniture. My roof is metal and that hunter green color which I wish it wasn't! It would make my color decision much easier.
I'm visiting for Porch Club Monday. I'd love to have you drop by my porch for a visit.
Hugs,
Stephanie ♥
If you were BRAVE Cindy, I believe you'd show how your porch looks NOW under all our snow!
ReplyDelete;-)
Hi sweet friend...
ReplyDeleteAhhh...your beautiful porch at Applestone Cottage is like a breath of fresh air to me today! I just love your little porch and think you have decorated it perfectly! I still think that your red metal table set is just GORGEOUS, my dear!!! Ohhh...and I love that pretty area rug that you added last summer! You know, every time I go to Walmart...I see that set of dishes that go with that pretty rug...and I think of you!!! Love all of your pretty flowers...especially the pretty petunias that you have in your polka dot teacup planter! That teacup planter is sooo adorable and it's perfect for your pretty porch! My...ohhh my...and what a view to enjoy from your porch!!! It's the prettiest that I've seen, dear friend! I sure hope that I can enjoy that view (personally) one of these days!!!
Well dear friend, how are you doing? We are really getting the snow and it's very, very cold! Supposed to get down to -20 here tonight. That's pretty cold for us! I'm staying busy adding wood to the fire in our wood stove...it's keeping it nice and cozy inside! Do you have Addison this week? Just wondering what you're up to! Thanks for sharing your beautiful porch with us today! Will Spring ever come? Hehe!
Love ya, sweet friend!

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind a little snow about now. I'll be enjoying 100 degree heat sooner than I care to think about. Your porch may be small (I don't think so - it's perfect) but you have the most gorgeous front yard!!
ReplyDeletePatricia :o)
Hi Cindy! I'm so glad I got to visit you tonight. What a great post that is inspiring! :) The red on your porch is just so nice and inviting. I love apple red. How is that precious little granddaughter of yours? I'm sure she's growing by leaps and bounds. My youngest born this past June is just 7 months and he's 20 lbs., they grow so fast. Hugs friend! ~CC
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing your porch photos in the summer. What sweet refreshment they are now, when it's so cold out. I love seeing all of those flowers. I'm itching to plant some, but know it's still too early, at least for this part of So. Cal.

ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, the view from your front porch is beautiful and is making me so anxious for Spring! I had a cat who would bring his catches and drop them on the doormat. You had to be careful not to step on something! I'm sure you are buried in snow and ice as we are now! Try to stay warm. Linda
ReplyDeleteI am so envious of your view and porch! So CUTE!
ReplyDelete~Liz
You do have a beautiful view at your house. Lucky lady. It warmed me just to look at your pictures...it is so cold here today. The sun is finally shining through all the ice out there, so it is pretty but lethal!
ReplyDeleteChecking on you to make sure all is well, Cindy! I know you have the baby, but I wanted you to know I'm thinking of you as you babysit.
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
I love your porch, Cindy! Just the type of set up I'd love to have if we had a porch. What a great view, too. I think it would be hard to go inside after sitting there and looking out. It looks very serene.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI love your front porch and your beautiful country home. The red shutters and front door are so lovely!
