The cutest little Packer Fan and our extreme weather!!

Hi All!
Addison is wearing her I love Packers Football shirt!  The whole state of Wisconsin is revved up for the big game tomorrow!  And let me tell you ,with temperatures like this......

Can you blame us?
Now that's air temperature, not wind chill yesterday morning about 8:00 a.m.
It totally stinks!
If you have never experienced it, let me tell you it literally takes your breath away!
The weather people keep telling us that we could have frostbite set in on exposed skin within minutes of being outside.
My hubby's school even canceled yesterday morning because of the extreme cold.
So we are all excited about the big game tomorrow.  The winner goes to the super bowl!
And what a game it will be....  a border battle with our neighbors to the south!
My hubby informs me that the last time the Bears and Packers were in a playoff game together it was 1941.
He is just full of information like that!
Jane (Blondie's Journal)  and I have been e-mailing back and forth about our hubby's reaction.
It would fun to be together tomorrow although maybe a little too tense with two die hard fans!
( Al and Dan)
Jane and I would be just fine!  hehe.

And if the Packers lose, I am afraid the whole state of Wisconsin will go into a state of depression.
Being a cheese-head is serious business around here!
Now I need to go back and get under my blanket.  Just kidding....  but it still is very cold, although a bit better than yesterday.
Addison and I are just snuggling on the couch while her Mommy is back at work.
It's hard for my daughter but I am so glad that I am able to watch her.
Take Care and enjoy your weekend!
Cindy

I am joining the Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays!  Go check out her neat blog and the wonderful entries!

  1. LOL! We take our football very seriously in the South, too, Cindy. The SEC is the Holy Grail of football to my family and friends, and Auburn was serious, serious business around these parts. LOL!

I can't believe how cold it is there. Girl, that is some serious cold. We're dropping down in the 30's tonight, but I'm down in Central Florida right now where it is sunny and nice... but with a brisk wind and temps dropping. I'm leaving for St. Augustine in the morning, and it's very chilly there. I'm finally feeling well enough to get out, and it's COLD. Not a good idea, I guess.

Stay warm, my friend, and hug that adorable Addison for me. I just want to give her a great big squishy hug and her grandmother, too.

I'm not yelling for either team because I'm not getting in the middle of friends! LOL!

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

I could not handle those temps. I am having a hard enough time with the cold here.
    Stay warm!

  5. That baby is getting cuter and cuter these days, and really coming into her own! Brrr... It's cold here, too, but I think where I am, it only got to -5. ooooh- a heatwave compared to your -20. I am bundled up and keeping warm inside. I'll \ watch the game but the only "cold one" will be the Dos Equis beer by my side. :-)
    hugs, Sue

  6. Oh Cindy ... My Chris returns to MN tomorrow and back to the kind of weather you are having. It is warm enough in Bend today to walk around with a light jacket or none at all! Chris had a chance to ski today ... his last day here! I'll be rooting for Green Bay tomorrow ~~~ Chris is a diehard Vikings fan, so he won't. He may even get home in time to watch the game!

  9. Cindy, you are right, this is the cutest little Packer fan in the world, and the outfit is adorable too. I expected green and gold, not rose and pink. Cute.
My husband heard that the cheesehead hats are out of stock!

  21. Hi sweet friend...

Just read your sweet note and came right over. Yes...it's 1am and I'm still up! Hehe! I'm well on my way of having my days and nights mixed up...eeeks! Well my dear, your little Addison is just adorable...wearing that big ol' smile! If that isn't just the cutest!!! Love her Packer Fan outfit...she's "stylin'" big time! Hehe! I bet Katie is very relieved to know that Addison is with Grandma while she is working...it's so nice that you are able to keep her!

Ohhh my...you guys really are having some frigid weather! 20 below is way too cold...brrrr! A couple of weeks ago we were having those kind of temps...at least for two or three days. Nothing wants to work when it gets that cold. I felt so bad for Russell...having to get out in it and go to work! It's so nice that they cancelled school and Dan was able to stay home! The perfect "snuggle with your honey" weather! wink! Well my dear, I'm not a huge football fan but I have already decided that I'm rooting for the Packers...sorry Jane and Al! Hehe! I'm not sure that we'll be watching the entire game tomorrow but will check in from time to time to see how it's going! You guys have fun with the game and stay warm, Darlin'!!! I'll talk with you later...

    Love ya,
    Chari

  22. I know how much everyone loves to make fun of us Floridians as we complain about how COLD it is here, but we just don't have winter gear AND our brains are not wired for temps in the 30s and 40s. I guess if we were in Wisconsin, we'd turn into popsicles for sure!

I was out with Ms. Bake-it and her adorable grandson, Sean, all day yesterday. I told her some of my most favorite posts are all the pics of the grands I see in Blogland with the smiles and giggles. That first pic today of Addison is adorable.

Awwww…babies, they bring sunshine on the coldest days!

  23. Addison is just so sweet!
I don't know how you can endure temps. like that. My hubby is a mail man and he often wonders about his fellow mail people who have to work in conditions like that. It was 3 degrees here in Pa. yesterday morning.
Hubby will be watching the game tonight but he is an avid Steelers fan. Me.... I could care less about football!

    Hugs,
    Debbie

  25. Cindy, well you certainly have the CUTEST little Packer fan ever! She is adorable and I'm so glad you are able to take care of her when your daughter is at work. That must relieve your daughter's stress so much to know that loving grandparents are there! We will be rooting for our Jets to beat the Steelers tonight! It's only 1 below here so I'll stop complaining. I am so sick of the snow but more is on the way Tuesday! Have fun watching the game! Now that I know people all over the country football seems more interesting! Linda
