Where has Cindy been?

This is Cindy's stand in blogger (hubby Dan) cluing you all in on our, not so great, weekend. Cindy had been having stomach pains on and off for the passed month or so and Wednesday night it became unbearable so she went to the emergency room on Thursday morning. It turns out that her gall bladder was infected and she had to have it taken out. The surgery was done Saturday at about noon and she hopefully will be coming home tomorrow (Monday). I hope you all had a better weekend than Cindy.

p.s. As I am typing this, our cat is stalking a beautiful pheasant rooster that is in our back yard. As Cindy seems to be a magnet for bears, pheasants, porrcupines and the such, my guess is that he is looking for Cindy and wondering where she has been all of these day.

  1. I hope Cindy is well soon! Send her love from me! I have been there and done that! That was a tough surgery for me! I heard all the causes, too many sweets, multiple surgeries and having a new baby! I had a hysterectomy and six weeks later! Gall Bladder! I was the last in my family. Both my folks and all four of my siblings had the surgery too! They say it is not hereditary! Ha!
Prayers for you Cindy! Hugs from Anne

  16. Dear Dan,
Who is also known as the husband who can do ANYTHING (now we can add blogging to that list!) == please tell Cindy GET WELL SOON. I had gall bladder surgery back in 1998 -- not fun, but the good thing is that once it's over, it's over, and it's all recovery from there on.

If she had laparoscopic surgery, you might want to get her some anti-gas medicine to take when she gets home -- they pump "air" into you and it doesn't all get out afterward, and it can give very bad pains, especially in your shoulder area. I know, it's odd -- but the anti-gas meds take care of it.

Cindy -- I'm so glad there was an explanation and a solution for your stomach pains!

Now ... get well, and join us again. Remember, you were my inspiration to really begin blogging in earnest! People have YOU to blame! :-)

    Love, Cass
