My homemade Cloche! Thanks to the tutorial from Gloria @ Happy to Be~ For Christmas I added snowmen salt and pepper shakers and candy cane ribbon and decor!
My only real live cloche! I have decided wire is harder to photograph than glass, but I do love the look of wire! This one has a spot on my Fireplace mantle. I filled it with a vintage looking santa and ornament.
Framed and up close and you still can't see his face! Maybe Marty can offer cloche photography classes, I know I would sign up!
This needs some major tweeking, but yesterday was a long work day and I was just too pooped! Now go visit Marty for some outstanding cloches and the millions of other participants!!! Cindy
Cindy, I just love your bespoke cloche and your cheese dome cloche is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI contemplated using the ideas you gave me a while ago about making a cloche but I am just not handy and knew I would smash it! I had so much fun with my jars and glass dome though, and I can't wait until the next party!
Hope you have a great weekend, Natasha.

Oh, how cute, Cindy! I love those darling little snowmen. They look so happy! And the cute wire cloche looks happy with its contents. Then look at the skating cloche! I love the fact that you used the skates and the medals. That is my favorite spectator sport. I will sit for hours and watch ice dancing and figure skating. How wonderful that your daughter did it competitively! Such a beautiful, beautiful sport!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, my friend...
XO,
Sheila (who has been computerless all night; my network AGAIN!)

My early morning, not enough coffee brain thought you had a live as in LIVE cloche. Took me a full 10 seconds to get a grip in my brain. Excuse me while I go downstairs and fill my cup to boost my brain activity :)
ReplyDeleteLove the figure skating, very unique and sweet. My niece is a skater and when I visited Michigan, I froze to death enjoying her performance. Ice skating moms are tough!
Hi Cindy! Oh, I know it must have been wonderful to have our dear Marty! Her genuine sweetness comes through her posts!

Love your wire cloche. I've been on the lookout for one. May have to ask Santa to bring me one. Those cute s/p snowmen just made me smile, and I love the way you framed the picture. Your skating cloche is adorable. I think the medals look very festive, and I think they should be proudly displayed. Thank you for your kind notes about my f-i-l. It is wonderful to know that there are people out there who care. You are so sweet. laurie
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun seeing what everyone is doing with their cloches. I love the one with the snowman S&P shakers. I love the ribbon & embellishments at the top. Thanks for sharing yours.
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with the top of your first one. I didn't even think about adding so much as a ribbon to mine. You did a wonderful job...I love the wire one.

ReplyDeleteOh Cindy, I just cracked up at the photo lesson comment. I think I would be the first to sign up if someone wants to do it. Your snowmen are wonderful and your chickenwire cloche is one of my very favorite and I love your santa. What a wonderful display of your daughters medals and the figure skates. I think that is so special. Thanks so much for joining the party, this is just awesome. Hugs, Marty

LOL...I too suggested on Marty's blog in the comments section that someone give a tutorial on how to take photos of the glass cloches. I am awful at it. I think your daughter's awards under the cloche are a fabulous idea.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your designs! I don't have a chicken wire cloche, I think I need one!!
ReplyDeleteI used some of my Nativity collection under several cloches.
Katherine
Everything looks so pretty. I love your stone fireplace, and the mantle looks wonderful. I love using vintage books in my decorating too. Also, what a wonderful idea for a cloche, a wire one! Thanks for sharing.

Hello Dearheart...
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about being so late at getting by to see you, my friend! I'm still trying to get all my Christmas out...and I'm about as slow as molasses on a cold morning! Hehe! I still have a bit more to do...I'm not very good at multi-tasking...reading the blogs and decorating all at once! Hehe!
Anyway...loved seeing all of your beautiful cloches! I just love the first cloche with the darling little snowmen with their red and white striped scarves! Love, love, LOVE the pretty peppermint candies and ribbon that you topped the cloche off with!!! That really is the most darling Christmas vignette...I really like the Christmas candy stuff...soooo cute!!! And...of course you know that I just fell in love with your wire cloche and how you decorated it for your Christmas mantel! The old vintage Santa and ornament is just perfect for that wire cloche...and I love the pretty red and white checked plate that you made to sit it on!!! Girl, I love the cloche/vignette that you made with your daughter's skating things! Has she seen it yet? I bet she really enjoyed seeing her mama use her things...sweet memories! Your little tree with all the skating things is darling too! Ohhh yes...and I love, love, LOVE that beautiful red and olive green table runner that you have on that table! That would be pretty in my dining room...don't you think? Hehe!
