I seem to have a thing for red and white right now. Maybe it's because I am surrounded by so much white snow that I crave the bright and cheery reds!
On top of my old pie hutch is a collection of whites, a little red apple lamp and a few wintry looking bottle brush trees. I also have the old antique coffee grinder that was passed down to me many years ago
Today my table is dressed in a red and white snow flake tablecloth. I decided to keep the table simple so as not to look too Christmas like.
It's been dark and dreary today. However it has snowed quite a bit and I think I prefer that to the bare ground we had before. I will complain about it but when spring rolls around, I will appreciate it even more.
A simple white pitcher, red berries and a little snowman and little girl dressed for the winter weather.
Simple white plates and napkins, my dollar tree snowflake glasses and that pretty much rounds it out.
I wish I had a better camera ( it's on my wish list) but as you can see it's very snowy outside that window! It is pretty but I wasn't none too happy with the snow plow guy when I started sliding backwards down the big hill before our house. Just a little more sand please! I had Addison with me and I don't care to be walking with a toddler in tow.
Ahhh January! It's probably my least favorite month of the year but I am trying to enjoy it.
Now I am joining Marty @ A Stroll thru Life for her 100th Table Top blog party. Congrats to my friend Marty! Be sure to check it out!
I am also joining the following blog parties;
A Bowl Full of Lemons blog party
Wow us Wednesday at Savvy Southern Style
I am also joining Tablescape Thursday @ Between Naps on the Porch.
Have a great week everyone!
Cindy
The red and white looks beautiful, Cindy. Brightens the winter days! I love the vignette on the cabinet!
ReplyDeleteLove your red and white. Oh the snow just makes it even more festive!
ReplyDeleteI have the same little girl and dollar tree snowflake glasses...you have great taste!
Cindy- I am with you- It is cold and dark and dreary here, too. I love the red and white scheme..it is so cheery and can flow right into Valentine's Day with a heart here and there.
ReplyDeleteWe have a steep drive here, too. I have slip-slid down it more than once. It is snowing here right now and supposed to snow overnight- sigh- NOT my favorite time of year, either. xo Diana
Your white dishes are a great combination with the red tablecloth. So bright and cheery!
ReplyDeleteYour newest follower, Mary Alice
You are after all 'Applestone Cottate'. Red beautifully suits you!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless ya my friend and have a wonderful week!!!
Stay cozy...I see outside your window!
I always enjoy your tables! What a pretty wintery scene you have there. Cute glasses too.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo!!! You were able to comment. I am still gettin' people who can't.
ReplyDeleteDid ya do anything different??
'Just curious.
Ya don't suppose blogger finally fixed the problem?
Naaaaahh...Heeehehehe!
The red and white table setting looks very pretty with the snow covered background.
ReplyDeleteI don't envy your with the snow. A sliding vehicle is very scarey!! Severe storms thru here last night - to early in the year for that. :(
Enjoy your evening.
Beautiful table, Cindy! I would love to be sitting there looking out into the woods! You are a lucky girl in my book! I love the top of your cabinet, too...very wintery!
ReplyDeleteWe had a nice snowfall and now the temps have gone up and it's all melting. At least it isn't freezing. I like that we can open the windows a little and get some fresh air!
We need to start planning our summer trip...what do you think about Galena again? It's closer to home for you and we never really got to do a lot of shopping. Let me know what you think!
XO,
Jane
I have always and am now and always will be crazy about red & white...just love it too! The table looks so cute! :D
ReplyDeleteLove your snow-flake themed tabelsetting... the snowflake on the glasses and on the table cloth ties everything so beautifully. The white pitcher with the berries looks gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by with your sweet comment.Have a great week!Hugs~Poppy

ReplyDeleteMe and you. Now wouldn't that table be pretty outside in my yard??? Oh la la oui. We could have Randy serve us in his swimsuit from Mexico lol.
ReplyDeleteLove it Cindy.

Hi Girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteI think your winter home is looking beautiful and very cheery all done up in the red and white! Oooh...and that table looks sooo pretty with the white snow for a background! I love the simple white pitcher and red berries that you created for the centerpiece...that's gorgeous! I also love how you did the vignette atop that pretty pie hutch! I'm drooling over your pretty white pitchers...you know! Hehe! Well dear friend, you stay warm and stay safe in all that winter snow. We really haven't had much snow at all. We are really dry at our place and could use the moisture. Hope that my note is finding ya'll doing well!
Love ya, sweet friend!

Hi Cindy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a refreshing tablescape - I love red & whites. Our weather here in GA has been gray, rainy, and cold lately too. I've been praying for SUNshine for some time now.
Enjoy those grandies~
Hugs,
~CC Catherine
Gorgeous! I love the red and white theme. It is absolutely beautiful with your snowy backdrop outside too. Hope you are staying warm and cozy!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Cindy! Love the red and white - especially with the snow background. Pretty plates, too. Stay warm! Linda
ReplyDeleteWinter white is always pretty! Add in some red, and it gets even better. Your table looks cheery and the scenery looks magical. No accumulation of snow down here in sw Ohio. Just cloudy, rainy, cold days! Stay warm and cozy, Cindy~
ReplyDeleteSo cheerful and cozy! Now I'm inspired to dress up my dining room. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh Cindy, I love your hutch and your table. The whites are so pretty and the mix of the little trees on the hutch are perfect for all the snow. It is so pretty to look out the window and see it all. The tablescape is perfect. I love the little snowmen you added and the glasses with the snow flakes. Thos square plates are my favorite. I can't wait until you get here again. At least you will warm up. Thank you so much for joining TTT. Love ya tons. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteCindy, this looks so lovely! I'm with you on all that winter white outside...blegh.
ReplyDeleteI think I might have a picnic tablecloth very similar to yours & I'm going out into the garage (putting on a coat, first!) to check & see if it will fit on my goofy square kitchen table. Thanks for the inspiration!
Hugs,
Rett
Hi dear,
ReplyDeleteEverything looks lovely, crisp, inviting. I love it!
Sending love,
Sharon
that is one beautiful snowy white view out your beautiful red & white table... I don't think I've ever seen a more perfect setting for that particular tablecloth... just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour table looks so cheery! I love the red checks! I love that centerpiece. Using the white pitcher looks great with the gingham.
ReplyDeleteCindy, you have a lovely place there, and I do love reds. I posted a few red touches in my dining room today.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine being surrounded by snow. Stay warm!
Kind regards,
Dayle
Cindy, red and white will always be a favorite of mine. Pretty table setting. Thanks for sharing at wow.
ReplyDeleteRed & White is so fresh, I love it. Thank you so much for sharing. My very first visit here I will follow on my way out so I know my path back here. Perhaps you will find the time to come visit me soon and do the same. I look forward to engaging more throughout the year and beyond. Take care. Cheers SpecialK XoXo
ReplyDeletelovely table goes with the nice view outside.
ReplyDeleteCathy
Cindy, the reds and whites just make me feel happy - on top of the cabinet and on your table. What a cute little girl with her winter coat, and I love the simplicity of that pretty white pitcher with the red berries. Since we don't get snow very often, I am scared to death to drive in it. Just your account of sliding backwards (with Addison in the car) scared me to death! Be careful out there! laurie
ReplyDeleteHI Cindy! Oh, I love your red and white table! Simple is good. Love the white pitcher with your berries and the little snowman and little girl are just perfect! Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I so love the white pitcher with red berries...but in my book you can never have enough red! Thanks so much for the comments you left me on my latest post. You are welcome to borrow any ideas I have...at least whenever I get one:)
ReplyDeleteYour red and white table is very pretty! So perfect to adding some cheer into these winter days. OOh, not fun to slide around on the icy roads with a baby in the car. Glad you made it.
ReplyDeleteWhat PRETTY photos! I love the white and red. And all that snow. Ok, I know you might get tired of it, but I think it's lovely. We rarely see that much. Thanks for being a new follower. I am following now too. Because I just love your blog.
ReplyDeleteI think the simple centerpiece is perfect for this table! I love the red and white checked cloth with the white plates repeating the squares. And what a stunning view from your window! I would love to see some snow here!
ReplyDeleteI love your snowy white and red table. The view out the window is a perfect backdrop. I have the same $store snowflake glasses. Couldn't find more this year.
ReplyDeleteI see you are all white like we are up here in northern Michigan! I love the red and white and it certainly is a pick me up color at this time of year! I need some of that bamboo flatware! Love your plates- cute shape!
ReplyDeleteI love red and white too you your table is lovely. I specially like the white painted antique chairs, so pretty with the red.
ReplyDelete~ ~Ahrisha~ ~
Love the red tablecloth - brightens up a snowy day! We are also having snow (yuk)!
ReplyDeletepretty pretty table to brighten such a bleak day! xo marlis
ReplyDeleteI heard that Wisconsin had gotten pummeled by the snow. We here in the Midwest (Kansas City, MO. area) haven't even seen a full inch this season yet. That's OK by me, but I know there are a lot of very disappointed little kids who got snowboards and sleds for Christmas! The red & white is very cheerful, and it looks great against the snowy white background. Your other photos of all the snow are really pretty, too. The one with the deer is neat!
ReplyDeleteSimply lovely! And I love all that snow! Great space you have there!
ReplyDeleteLooking all great my dear friend..I don't know how you get a thing done with addy there..when Landen comes here all I do is pick up things in his path ha ha!! his newest thing is to go into the new shower and just dance and laugh have not a clue why that's so funny for him to do..but each day I love watching that little sponge absorb all around him..Take care my Dear friend and please always remember someone in Calif loves ya Hugs and love Gloria
ReplyDeleteI've been looking around your blog. I love your pictures and am jealous of your snow. We don't get much here. Anyway love your table and chairs. Please feel free to stop by my blog launch giveaway, I'd love your opinion. Thanks and happy scaping!
ReplyDeleteThe red looks so prety against the white snowy background, Cindy! Beautiful and cheerful table. Love the white dishes too..Christine
ReplyDeleteOne more thing, I love your pie cabinet..Christine
ReplyDeleteYour table is charming and inviting!! I am jealous of your snow!! We have hardly had any this winter and we usually have several feet!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Cindy! And...I LOVE your view! It's been warm here this year...we may not get any snow. :-( Have a great week!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteI got chills just looking at the picture of the snow outside your window....such a cute table....very country. and red is my favorite color...I have it in every room of the house in one way or another....
ReplyDeleteOh sweetie..I have been so bad about blogging and visiting. Forgive me! I do love your snow pictures! We have had lots of sunshine and warm weather. It was 80 day before yesterday and close to that every day this week. Flowers blooming in the front yard and the grass out back is getting green again. Our only sign that Winter is even here.
ReplyDeleteI love your reds... :) but of course I do!
Much love to you..um..a SNOW plow?
Sliding in a car would frighten me half to death! BE CAREFUL!!
Hugs!!
We are setting records in Kansas City for the least amount of snow this winter and I hate to say it, but I almost miss it. Thanks for the pictures.

I hope you are well, I am so happy we have only one storm and the 6 inches was gone by the next day. Thank God!
Cindy, such a beautiful tablescape! I love red and white! Love the centerpiece...so pretty in the white pitcher. Addison is adorable by the way...great pics of your family. Looks like you had a wonderful time! So fun to hear you mention snow...it's been in the 60's here for a few days going on weeks. I think GA has decided to abstain from winter this year.
