A Mini-bath update and an Autumn Wreath.

Hey Everyone!!   I hope you all had a lovely week-end.  Again, we had gorgeous weather with highs in the mid-seventies and sunshine.  I am soaking it all up and enjoying every minute  because I know come March, I won't be a happy camper.  Today I  wanted to share a little( meaning small)  and inexpensive bathroom wall update.   My before pic of the area above the commode, very  boring and in need of some help...

I found this old mirror for $3.00 at a thrift shop.  Ugly hunter green paint needs to go.....

Two coat's of  ivory spray paint  and she's looking much better.  I also found an old gold metal shelf in a free box at a garage sale this summer.  I had set it  in our garage not sure if I would ever use it, but I thought maybe my daughter or one of her friends would.     I forgot to snap a before pic but trust me it was gold and brassy.

A coat of primer and a coat of ivory spray paint and I have a whole new look without spending a dime.  I added a few accessories by shopping the house and ......

I hung the shelf, the mirror, a few pics and accessories from around the house. Total cost only $3.00 for the mirror, everything else came from shopping the home.  Now on to my wreath dilemma.  I wanted to use the one I made last year only add a bit more red.   Below, sorry looking  little wreath.

I added some red gingham ribbon, a few red apples, a little tin bucket and a scarecrow.

I hung it outside next to my red door.  It still needs a little tweaking but that will come. I also need to learn how to make better bows.   I am adding on to the following blog parties today.

I can't believe you had cranes! I think your property should be made a national wildlife refuge. I love your mom's pretty tablescape! I couldn't help but notice the wonderful spinning wheel, too! Happy week!...hugs...Debbie

  22. Hi Girlfriend...

Just read your sweet note and had to come right over! Girl, you always make my day with your uplifting and generous compliments...thank you!!!

Ohhh...I loved this bath metamorphosis!!! First of all, just have to say that that embroidered shower curtain is gorgeous!!! I love it!!! And I love that pretty frenchy frame...it looks fabulous with the mirror! I love your little metal wall shelf too...love how you accessorized it! That pretty tall, lime green watering can just makes it!!! Beautiful bath, Girlfriend!!!

I also love what you did with your autumn wreath...adding more of the red color to it with those pretty red apples...gorgeous!!! Love the red and white gingham ribbon too...it just makes the wreath!!! It looks fabulous just outside your door...hanging above that beautiful basket full of red mums!!! Great job, Darlin'!!!

Girlfriend, we had a cold front blow in last night. It's raining and only getting up to 53 today...can you believe it? It's supposed to be this way all week...it's pretty chilly!!! Last night it dropped down into the high 30's...you know what that means...frost will be here soon! I was hoping for more of those moderate 70's for awhile...maybe it'll warm back up next week!

Well Darlin'...I really enjoyed this post and getting to see more of your beautiful home!!! Have a marvelous Monday and I'll talk with you later...

    Love ya,
    Chari

  29. Cindy, Just wanted to say thank you for your kind comments on my post today. Your bath transformation is simple but oh so cute. Amazing what a simple coat of paint will do for a mirror and a shelf! I like that color. And adding to your little wreath certainly perked it up! It looks quite nice above your bushel basket of mums. Great color, btw. hugs, Sue
