Outdoor Wednesday @ Applestone Cottage
Things are burstin forth around here! Our view from the front porch.
We've had some recent rain and it's so green!
And the ivy( climbing hydrangea) seems to be taking on a life and mind of it's own! I have trimmed it back a bit but that bugger grows like crazy!
It's starting to flower, and their just gorgeous!
My baby's breath are filling out.
My pansies are looking good !
And the phlox are coming along.
And this rose bush is blooming! I almost ripped it out last year because nothing was coming. It must have heard me because it started blooming the following week.
I planted this last year and it's really taken off! Some kind of catnip plant and Lily loves to chew on it.
I have lot's of petunias planted all over.
And the hostas are becoming enormous!
Some of the flowers that are starting to bloom!
This should be in full bloom by the end of the week, I'll post another pic later.
I love these, I just planted them last year as well. They really are a lovely splash of color!
Well that's about it for now. More things are coming........
I am joining Susan at Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday. Pop on over for some great links.

Cindy, I think your ivy is actually Climbing Hydrangea. I had some at my last house and I didn't realize how much I missed it. Guess, I'll have to get some for here. Your flowers are beautiful.

Everything looks happy, I especially like the view from your front porch-enjoy!
ReplyDeleteEverything is so lush and beautiful, Cindy! I love all of your flowers but that climbing hydrangea is awesome. I know you think it is a monster but I love it! I am trying to coax my wisteria to grow at the lake. So far it is getting wider instead of taller! lol!! I am planting flowers little by little. I am either gone or it is too cold or raining. Is it raining by you today? Yuk!! :-{

Isn't it amazing how we were just complaining about all the snow...and now our yards are bursting with color! I was going to take pictures of mine today, but we got rain. Hopefully in the morning I will get my outdoor shots. I really love your baby's breath...I need to plant some of that. I'm always bring cut flowers into the house...I don't know why I didn't think of that myself! Your yard is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the tour of your garden. Lovely, just lovely flowers. Fantastic view from your home.

Everything does look so lovely after a rain. We are having rain again today. The past few days have been very nice and cool. Alot different than last week when it was hot and humid.

Cindy, I am so jealous of your climbing hydrangea and your clamatis. I love them both and they don't grow well here. All of your flowers are so gorgeous, I don't know where you live, but your weather must have been perfect so far, everything is so lush and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy S

Your garden is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteHi Girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteOhhhh...what a view!!! I think the road leading to Applestone Cottage is just "picture perfect"...it's really lovely, Girlfriend...and such a gorgeous view you have from your front porch! You really do live in beautiful country!!!
Girlfriend, I really enjoyed seeing all of your beautiful flowers! I can tell that you've been working really hard in your gardens!!! Ohhh my...and I can't believe that Climbing Hydrangea...simply gorgeous!!! I wonder if that would grow here in Colorado? I'm guessing that it would...since we both live in cold country. I have never seen a Climbing Hydrangea before...well at least...not until I've seen yours! I just love the look of climbing vines on a house...so picturesque!!! I also really like the pretty purple cat nip flowers...I don't think I've ever seen those before either. They remind me a bit of lavender.
Well my sweet friend, your home and yard is looking soooo very beautiful...thank you for sharing it with us!
Love ya, Darlin'!
Chari
What a wonderful view you have. Everything in your garden looks great too.
