An Outdoor Wednesday and a Rednesday!
Hubby captured this pic of Mr. Pheasant on his way to work. We see him a lot lately. He seems to be out strutting his stuff and trying to capture the attention of Mrs. Pheasant. Sometimes I will come to a complete stop, honk my horn and he still won't move off of the road. I guess he's a stereotypical male right now, with a one track mind!
I am thrilled with my new bistro table and chairs!! It's from the Country Living Collection at Sears. I wanted something for the front porch. Something Red! Something where hubby and I or a friend, could share a meal or glass of wine. I was looking and looking and when I found this one, I knew it would be perfect out here. Now onto all the other work that needs to get done. Hubby is going to stain the concrete and re-do the picnic table with bright colors. I can't wait to be able to put up my hanging baskets of geraniums etc. It's cool and rainy here today but the week-end looks good. Sunny and high 60's. It will probably be the end of April or early May before I can start planting. We can get a killer frost quite late but I will probably just end of covering everything with sheets. Otherwise, it would be June before I plant. Ooooh, I can't wait that long! Have a great Wednesday Everyone!
I am joining Susan for Outdoor Wednesday.
I am also joining Sue for a Rednesday!

Oh the new Bistro set is so cute. It looks wonderful with your shutters. Isn't the pheasant beautiful.Wonderful picture your husband captures of him.
ReplyDeleteLove that patio furniture!!
ReplyDeleteThat bistro set is just stunning! I can tell that you're going to have so much fun sitting out there, enjoying the view. I'm real excited to get planting too, and won't do it 'til after May 15th, but I know that Wisconsin can have a very short planting season! You have to pack alot of gardening fun into just a few months!
ReplyDeleteHappy REDnesday,
Carol
Like you, planting won't begin for us until late May! Love Mr. Pheasant and your red eye candy.
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' that great picture of your fine feathered friend. The Ozarks lack pheasants. Your little red bistro set is great! You'll really enjoy it. I bought a new set after my first was blown away by a tornado. Really I never did find the table and the metal chairs were torn to bits. Mine is green and sits in my cottage garden below my deck. It's a great spot for a tall glass of tea and a good read.
ReplyDeleteGod bless and have a wonderful Wednesday!!!

ReplyDeleteOhhh...I missed you!!! Sure wished that you could have joined us in Vegas...I would have loved, loved, LOVED IT!!! And yes...if you and Dan decide to plan a trip to Colorado...that would be sooo awesome!!! Gloria and I had sooo much fun! We talked and talked and talked! Hehe! In fact, I talked my voice out! I literally lost my voice and it's still squeaky! Hehe! We both said, several times, how we wished that you were there!
Well Darlin', what all happened while I was gone? Oooh...I see that you got a new bistro table and chairs for your patio...it's gorgeous! Of course, you knew that I would love that red! I love all the pretty swirly lines on the chairs...sooo pretty!!! It sounds like you've been having some great weather...I just know that you're "itchin" to get out and work your flower beds, etc. It's supposed to get up in the 60's here today...so nice! I'm sooo ready! We had beautiful weather the whole time in Vegas...high 60's and low 70's...just perfect for me!
I took a peek at your Easter post and Easter princess post! Chole is just a little doll!!! You certainly have right to be a proud Auntie! Loved seeing all of your Easter photos...what a darling little girl you were! Ohhh yes...I wore a few of those granny dresses back in the day as well! Hehe! That's too cute that your mom made your boyfriend a matching shirt! Ahhhh!!! Well Sweetie...you were the first on my "visit list" this morning! Just had to come by and say hello! I'm moving really...really slow. I think it will take me quite awhile to catch up from the trip...my body is really screamin' at me! Sheesh!
Love ya, Sweetie...sure did miss you!!!

Your husband is going to stain the concrete and re-do the picnic table in bright colors and you're going to hang the geranium baskets? How come I don't have a husband like that? ha-ha I'm just kidding because I actually do have a husband like that. Except he doesn't take great pictures of pheasants like your hubby.
