Hey there! It's been a cool dreary week and I 'm feeling a bit like a mole! Hopefully this week will be better with some sun and more seasonal temps. On a brighter note I am participating in
Met. Monday and
Blue Monday with our lovely hostesses Susan and Sally. Please visit their lovely blogs for some inspirational posts!
My Metamorphisis is mini but I do think it changes the look of our bedroom. Before pic. I liked the battenberg style curtains but they covered up our lovely windows and when I pushed them apart they just looked scrunchy.
The after. I found some white crinkly style panels that I thought would make the room seem more open and airy! Below, another before.
I think the after opens up our smallish bedroom and takes better advantage of the view! Privacy is not a big issue for us, we live in the boonies after all and close our blinds at night.
I moved the end tables around and added this lace table topper I recently found thrifting. I think it adds an old fashioned and romantic look with my GoneWith the Wind Lamp. Soon I will change to a more cozy looking quilt for winter. My MIL is a quilter and I have found a pic of one I adore. Can't wait for that!!
Some exciting bit of news to share! My hubby and I will be traveling to Phoenix at the end of this month to visit with my son Joshua and his wife Dawn. We will get to see my brother Tom and I will get to meet some of my fellow bloggers at an AZ luncheon held in Phoenix! I am so looking forward to this!! I bought our plane tickets today. Now to rent a car and hotel room. I'm feeling a bit like an old hat at this. Little did I know when my son took a teaching job in Phoenix it might be for a long stretch of time. With the economy the way it is they can't just up and move back to Wisconsin since they have jobs!
sin. Now their building a house! I am so excited and can't wait to see the progress but I am also a little blue.
Josh and Dawn have tried for months to buy a home in Phoenix. They made several accepted offers and you would think with all the foreclosures things would move quickly. It seems to be just the opposite. Finally, they found a promising area and decided to build. The home may be ready as early as Thanksgiving, so I may be heading back to Phoenix a second time to help them move. This time will be for fun though, can't wait! Have a great Monday everyone,I need to go get caught up on my blog reading! Cindy
