A Mini-bath update and an Autumn Wreath.

Hey Everyone!!   I hope you all had a lovely week-end.  Again, we had gorgeous weather with highs in the mid-seventies and sunshine.  I am soaking it all up and enjoying every minute  because I know come March, I won't be a happy camper.  Today I  wanted to share a little( meaning small)  and inexpensive bathroom wall update.   My before pic of the area above the commode, very  boring and in need of some help...

I found this old mirror for $3.00 at a thrift shop.  Ugly hunter green paint needs to go.....

Two coat's of  ivory spray paint  and she's looking much better.  I also found an old gold metal shelf in a free box at a garage sale this summer.  I had set it  in our garage not sure if I would ever use it, but I thought maybe my daughter or one of her friends would.     I forgot to snap a before pic but trust me it was gold and brassy.

A coat of primer and a coat of ivory spray paint and I have a whole new look without spending a dime.  I added a few accessories by shopping the house and ......

I hung the shelf, the mirror, a few pics and accessories from around the house. Total cost only $3.00 for the mirror, everything else came from shopping the home.  Now on to my wreath dilemma.  I wanted to use the one I made last year only add a bit more red.   Below, sorry looking  little wreath.

I added some red gingham ribbon, a few red apples, a little tin bucket and a scarecrow.

I hung it outside next to my red door.  It still needs a little tweaking but that will come. I also need to learn how to make better bows.   I am adding on to the following blog parties today.

My Mom's Table! Tablescape and Thrifty Thursday!

Recently, while out thrifting I came across this lovely lace tablecloth.  It was brand new and although it was too big for my table I knew where  it would fit .  The price was right too!  Only $1.99, so I scooped it up and headed to my Mom's to give it a try. I bought the little salt and pepper piggies for her many moons ago.

We recently moved my Mom into a new home .  Since we are still in the unpacking of boxes stage, not much of her china is even put away.  The tablecloth fit perfectly and I used what was available to set a kind of frenchy/country table!

She bought the blue china when I was a little girl.  I can't remember who made it, but I thought it would work well with her new lace tablecloth!

Another view.

I thought her little blue and white hen added a frenchy flair.  Some candle sticks and black-eyed Susan's from her garden and were good to go!
