Ready or Not, She's Here!

Cloie Anne arrived on Tuesday to my little sister Susie. 7 lbs, 4 oz and a ton of black hair. You may remember I posted the baby shower I had for my Sis on a tablescape thursday. Mom and daughter and Dad are doing great.
She was hungry and sleepy today when I visited so the pics aren't the greatest but she is a beauty!

This little gal will join her two older sisters, Kristin 14 and Noel 12 and her two older brothers, Justin 16 and Ben 9, plus my sister is a full time art teacher to middle school kids. She is taking a 1 year leave of absence which I think she will need. (that may be the understatement of the year) This is her husband's 1st baby(2nd marriage for Susie) and she had her tubes tied. Cloie is a in-vitro baby. Susie knew how much he wanted a child and went through a lot to get Cloie here. This was also her 5th C-section. Ouch! Cloie will join 24 nieces and nephews and some very excited grandparents! This is her husband's parents first grandchild. They are overjoyed!

Now, all you southern gals with your beautiful trees, flowers and lawns don't laugh! But I was so excited to see this today. It was a lovely 74 degrees and sunny! The trees are budding and green things are coming through the ground! Hooray! Have a Wonderful Week-end. Cindy

Tablescape Thursday/ or a touch of gingham

It's been a busy week over at Susan's. This is my third post linked to her blog this week! Be sure to check out all the lovely tables when your finished here. While on my way to visit a client the other day I just had to check out one of my favorite little Antique shops.
I spotted this cute little luncheon cloth (as they are called) for only $2.00. There was cross stitching and I couldn't see a spot on it. This would be my inspiration and the price was just right! (cheap)

I pulled out my little centerpiece that I made last summer (now don't laugh) for the County Fair. I just wanted to try my hand at flower arranging and although I only got 3rd, I was happy. Also back on the time clock are the Target Birdies all rested up from their Grand Adventure!

My bargain basement Vera Bradley China. Remember these, $1.00 a plate !

Light some candles.

Bring out the tea......

And were ready for a girl's lunch for two! Now head on over to Susan's @ http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ Oh, and I guess for reasons I don't understand, my bloggy comment button is at the top of the post. I guess I'm the only one that has this strange affliction, I may have to investigate further. Cindy
